Christophe Berra anybody?

Just read on SkySports that Christophe Berra has been transfer listed as he feels he needs a 'new challenge'. With us light defensively is he worth a cheeky loan bid? Whether Wolves would loan him to a potential promotion rival is another question but there's no doubt he would be a great addition and would put real pressure on both Hudson and Turner (if we did sign him I would partner him with Turner). Who knows he might be available for a knock down fee.

He's not that bad, if you've watched him on a regular basis then I guess you're in a better position to make an opinion. Whenever I've seen he looks a half tidy player, Championship level maybe perfect for him to get his confidence back.

Every supporter of a club he plays for always says how shit he is so I'm going to go with their views. I know Wolves, Hearts and Scotland fans that all don't rate him.

I'm stunned he got a move from Hearts to the Prem, would have thought League 1 at best. Zander Diamond was at Aberdeen at the same time and reckoned he was destined to bigger things, I thought he was of the same standard as Berra. Diamond got a year at Oldham and has just joined Burton Albion. Berra wouldn't look out of place beside him.

If we want to challenge at the top of the table we need to be bringing in players who are as good if not better as we currently have. Berra is not in that mould. He's not even in the latest Scotland squad, thankfully!
