Great PR stunt by the club re: Bellamy #ILOVETHECITY2012

Imagine this for one minute:

Sky & BBC cameras all down the stadium tomorrow evening plus the written press for the unveiling of Bellamy and just by 'coincidence' there will be 7000 people there to welcome him and give the perception of everyone welcoming 'the new era' at Cardiff City.

Many will be decked out in the new red kit (on sale from club shop from 6pm tomorrow) and kids will be waving red flags and other shit given out by the club. People will be cheering Bellamy and Malky and enjoying an evening of free entertainment. And all picked up by the cameras and reporters......

The new red era is reported to the world!

KCB? Dead in the water.

Here's to a great season!

Just about to post exactly the same! This is how you market a football club, and that's why I trust the Malaysians to take us forward. :ayatollah:

Personally I think the club will miss this brilliant PR stunt but it's not their fault, transfers take time but if this did happen the club would gain a lot of good publicity

Obviously this would be a perfect PR move and I hope they can pull this off...

Two schools of thought on this one

1. They have not shown by their previous actions that they have the creativity to make a positive PR move like this.

The fumbled big time by not timing the whole re-brand with a new high profile signing. I understand transfers take time, but money talks. If they really had PR in mind then they would have splashed the cash and someone high profile would have walked to the podium in red.

2. Since the re-brand things at least look great, and maybe they learned their lesson with the earlier debacle. PR does matter.

But I would not start putting my trust in anyone until I actually see results.

I agree it is great PR, no questioning that!!
Selling red shirts from 6pm, clever I guess!!
There should be a real good vibe down there tomorrow evening which is great for everyone!!

A positive start to hopefully a successful season on the pitch!!!

That good feeling is starting already as next Friday gets nearer :ayatollah:

It starts before that for me at Northampton, can't wait, come on City :ayatollah:

Very true. Maybe it is early days to put too much trust in them but we do seem to have turned a corner. Good times ahead with a bit of luck.
