Gareth (Wilts) wrote:1. Malky Mackay. He did incredibly well last season to guide us to 6th and League Cup Final. The defensive backbone of the team has been together for a while and they work well as a unit. Malky has the ability to get the best of the players at his disposal. Our squad last year was mid table at best. To finish where we did was a real achievement.
2. Quality new signings-Bellers, Mutch, Helgusson, the Slovenian whose name escapes me plus Kim bo add real quality to the squad. Add these to the likes of Whitts, Mason and Turner and the squad is strong.
3. Team spirit appears strong-Deadwood trouble makers like Gerrard are off the scene which will further galvanise the squad.
4. Rivals-Leicester appear to have a strong squad but there is no one to fear. The relegated teams apart from Bolton will struggle to make top 6 and the promoted teams will all do okay but wont make top 6.
I think we will finish 2nd behind Leicester.
What does everyone else think?

I think that all 3 teams that came down have stronger squads than us and I expect all 3 to be near the top. Brighton are looking good with quality additions, Sheff Weds could be there or thereabouts and then theres Boro/Blackpool/Leicester, etc. I think that we would have done well to get into the play offs.
