POMPEY/HARRY REDKNAPP

Seems to me that everyone has overlooked the way 'good old arry' pretty much fucked pompey up,he was the one with the chairman storrie that decided to spend stupid amounts on fees,wages for players that were never gonna challenge the big guns.Every team harry has gone to he wants and spends money,even at spurs he spent loads and when levy said no more ,he started sprouting he needed more players but wasnt getting backed.I think most of pomepys struggles started and escalated with this dodgy git in charge so much that this is where their problems started and still havent ended.

i never get this idea.... why is it the managers fault for the wages players are on? surely thats a job for the chairman to sort out?

Getting overlooked for the England job spoke volumes IMO.

I used to like Harry but he has to carry some of the blame for what happened at Pompey.

Almost any manager will spend whatever the chairman lets him to be fair.

agree with that but harry and the chairman are to blame they both knew that pompey could never sustain the type of wages they were paying kanu on about £100,000 bloody joke.

Strange for anyone to think any manager has control over what the board give him to work with.

He did however sign most of Pompeys team when he took over Spurs, Pompey were very poorly run club and with a weak board that are also equally if more so accountable
