I was told he was offered a contract by Southend but he couldn't agree personal terms which probably amounts to he wasn't prepared to take a drop in wages. Riding the gravy train at Cardiff is more important than playing football for this guy.

He will probably go out on loan once the season starts and then he will be gone at the end of the season.

Yeah I didn't like that when I read it. There is no way the club would stand in the way of any fringe player leaving if that's what they wanted and he had the perfect chance. Parkin took a small pay off in order to leave and a similar offer was put to Taiwo but he turned it down. His wages are what's stopped a few teams signing him and as he knows that he's never going to get wages elsewhere like he does here (£5k per week apparently) then he's happy to sit tight.

I don't blame players for getting money on a contract they have signed but to then make out they are forced to stay here and can't escape is unacceptble and makes him look like a knob.
