I went in July this year. it was boiling. sunny beach we stayed. loads of places to eat and drink really cheap loved it there. I nearly had my wallet pinched one night 1 of the local women tried ripping it out of my pocket lol, we had taken a short cut home mind as long as you stick to the main areas it was fine. definetly going back next year can't go wrong loved it. :ayatollah:

Aww not again.

Yep lived in Targovishte for around nine months, don't go there, be like living in Merthyr for a week. I'm in Sofia, when not in Turkey, for around two weeks a month as have a big project there.

If you're looking for a beach holiday then it's the East coast, main tourist's resorts are absolute shite holes, think Ibiza and shite. Loaded with drugs, hookers and general rip off folk. Outside of the main resort areas it's great although these are the areas where the "mafia" live, "mafia" is used as a term for general criminals usually with a shit load of back up.

Beautiful country, outstandingly beautiful ladies but avoid the gypsies. Very friendly people.

Depends on where you go. I went to Sofia for the Wales game, it was rough as f**k, but the beer was pennies

Had to go up Fairwater a few years back, I liken the conditions to that of Bulgaria and full of thieving gypsy scumbags. I would rather go to the oriface of my toilet on my holidays.

Sofia is a great City, you must have gone to "student town". It's the ethnic dumping ground, they don't piss about in the former Socialist "republics", socialism still rules, don't obey the rules and you're toast. Having a beer on the main street with so, so many pretty ladies wandering about at 7 in the evening, temp around 30C, dressed accordingly. Not Merthyr is it?

Went during last years Wales game, the weather was poor for 2 days but the other 2 days the weather was fine-this was October mind you.
Beer and food cheap as f**k, locals were fine but as usual with most countries they have their fair share of rough areas but you should be fine never the less. :ayatollah:

I love it there, the beaches, prices and nightlife is better than Spain :D
Ive been going the last 8 years and am selling one of my properties there in the centre of Sunny Beach.
Just up the road you have Nessebar which is stunning.
You will probably get ripped off there but beer is 46p pint, food £2 in a restaurant if you go to the Bulgarian bars serving Bulgarian or Britsh food. :D
The season is from May to first few days in October.
I would recommend there.
