Is it just me or does everybody seem to be overhyping Leeds this season, I've just read this month's issue of FourFourTwo and they're predicting they'll finish 2nd (we're predicted to finish 8th, although Don Goodman reckons we're nailed on for a top 6 finish). I know there's the 'Warnock factor' to take into account (which is complete bollocks, he's always had a decent budget whenever he's got teams promoted to the PL) but when I look at their squad it makes me wonder what do others see that I don't. So far they've lost Snodgrass and Clayton, it also looks as though McCormack will be on his way as well. In terms of their signings they've brought in Adam Drury, Paul Green, Andy Gray, Jamie Ashdown, David Norris, Paddy Kenny, Luke Varney and most recently Lee Peltier. Not exactly striking fear into me personally, looks to me as though they're going to be a typical Warnock team, hard working, defensively sound but overall play shitty aggressive long ball football.
IMO Leeds will finish closer to the relegation zone than automatic promotion. I'll go one further as well, Neil Warnock will be sacked by the end of the season.
FourFourTwo have also tipped Bristol City to finish in the bottom three, I fancy they could be dark horses for a playoff spot. Paul Anderson, Tom Heaton and Greg Cunningham look like shrewd additions to me. Sam Baldock is set to sign for them as well.
Opinions? Who do you fancy to do well this season (besides Cardiff of course

) and who do you think will flatter to deceive?

Very interesting mix this season. I can see Leeds doing well under Warnock, similarly SW under DJ.
Not sure about the the three Premiership relegated teams.

Our odds right as it stands seem fair, wonder affect signing Bellamy would have on those odds though.
Bolton justify their favourite tag, look a very safe bet to me (if there ever is such a thing

).

I think a lot of people are overestimating Blackburn this coming season, with Steve Kean and Venkys at the helm, that club is a train wreck. (Watch them run away with the league just because I've posted this

)

When they went down i did think that too!
But they've made some excellent signings, and now have a Premier League quality centre midfield in Danny Murphy and Dickson Etuhu.
Still think we'll finish ahead of them though.

Leeds are in the process of being taken over by a middle eastern consortium. the money being spent at the moment by neil warnock is self generated. when they are taken over after the due diligence there is a talk of massive investment that may have to wait until the january transfer window. they are definitely top 6 contenders.

Got a feeling wolves will blow it big time and do a boro. Bolton as champs, us and blackburn fighting for 2nd, playoffs a lottery as normal. Hull could be a huge team this year too. Bruce will have first shout of uniteds kids going out on loan, so I'd say them blackburn, Blackpool And Leeds for play offs.

Ipswich and Sheff Wed are my outside shouts for playoffs.

Forgot about Ipswich, Sheffield weds will be top 8 for me, just missing out by a point or two. Def the hardest leaugue to call for years. Only Peterborough I'd be willing to bet on now to go down.

Blackburn, Wolves and Bolton all have strong squads. Brighton and Sheff Weds have invested well with the likes of Boro and Blackpool there or thereabouts again.
Think City will finish 6th-12th. Bellamy has not signed as yet, no out and out pace/width and we lack a proven goalscorer at this level.Hope I,m wrong but being realistic. Would be a result if we made the play offs.
