OT: Cheap Underlay

Does anyone know if there are any cheaper ways to get underlay fitted DIY style rather than purchasing the underlay and carpet together from a retail store?

Yes mate, it does. I used it when I laid my laminate flooring (for what it cost it was great).
Was by far the cheapest around. It is the B&Q home brand. (Can't remember the exact name or price) but it was good.
