Cardiff City Boost As Liverpool Want Bellamy Exit

Cardiff City appear to have taken another small step in reality, but a big step in theory towards re-signing Craig Bellamy after news reports today that Liverpool are willing to negotiate an exit for the Welshman.

Previously, new boss Brendon Rogers had been considering his underperforming squad but was willing to give players like Bellamy, Aquilani and Carroll a chance. Aquilani has now departed, while West Ham and Newcastle are both keen on Carroll with indications the reds would willingly sell.

Bellamy's situation is different, and after his impressive Olympics showings - it seems likely that Liverpool would find a use for his this coming season. However, the player himself is desperate to return to South Wales and his £80k per week wages could be put to good use for Rogers as he re-builds.

If, as is being reported today, Liverpool are indeed willing to cancel Bellamy's contract - he may then be in a position to accept the hugely lower wage package offered by City. Current club Liverpool would be required to pay up a percentage of his salary but with Cardiff City, Bellamy himself and now Liverpool all looking to make the deal happen - it seems a return to Cardiff for Bellamy is ever more

IF that is the price for promotion its not a"good news" or an indication weve signed bellamy as we'd have drifted in the market as we were 7/2 a few days ago :? ...........so it means the bookies fancy us LESS now for promotion to offer 5/1 ;) :ayatollah:

IF we do sign bellamy then im sure the "win the league" and "to be promoted" odds will shorted a fair bit :ayatollah:
