Team GB has no future.

Sat Aug 04, 2012 10:13 pm

What would happen if both England and Wales make it to Euro 2016?

We gonna rely on the Scots to carry the team?

And we wouldn't get a free pass for Rio.

We would have to qualify.

Plenty of English youngsters that wouldn't feature in the English first team and would play in the olympics that are a decent standard, there's 18 of them this year isn't there I'm sure they wouldn't struggle to find another 5.

Yeah suppose so. Michah Richards/Kyle Walker all in with a shout, maybe room for Oxlade-Chamberlain to replace Bellamy. Any chance of Giggs tagging along as well?

Good shout Kyle Walker we can play Taylor in his natural position then.

Maybe AOC can be a sub for CB39. Still a bit to learn yet.

Giggs can do a cameo :D

Neil Taylor has done quite well during the Olympics, but in no way on earth is he a RB. I've no idea what Pearce was doing by sticking him on the wrong side, because to my mind, he's better than Bertrand.

I've no idea what Pearce was doing having Ramsey take penalties ahead of Sinclair (no Swans/Cardiff bias but SS has only missed 1 in 2 years) and then taking Sinclair off just before the pen shootout. The bloke is an idiot.

Agree; I posted earlier that Ramsey's first penalty was virtually a carbon copy of the one he scored against Switzerland in a home Euro 2012 qualifier last October. Anyone who remembers that (nobody apart from Wales fans, of course  ) would know - before tonight - that he isn't the most convincing penalty-taker; as proved by the manner in which he took his first two penalties against the South Koreans. However, for him to take the first penalty in the shoot-out having missed his second one during normal-time, score emphatically and send the goalkeeper the wrong way, shows commendable nerve.

He is. Some odd decisions all the way through, starting with the squad like rose who hardly plays and championship level cork.

There were more than a few strange selections, yes. Rose is a reserve player, whilst Cork, Sordell and Tomkins were all playing in the Championship last season.

Yes agree. After his first pen someone like Bellamy should have had a word.

That said Ramseys pen in the shoot out was decent.
