A week ago the word was that it was already a done deal so would be announced just after GB left the Olympics. A few days ago it seemed talks had only just been opened with Liverpool.
This now has the signs of running until the transfer deadline as Liverpool are not very active in the market and are finding it difficult to seal deals. Rodgers cannot even secure players that used to play under him.
