Can somebody please tell me when the 25 man squads have to be registered, as it is after that has happened, imo we will sign a defender

I was under the impression it was before the transfer window shut but wasn't sure ?

I may be wrong but I'm sure that when the transfer window closes on August 31st the loan window opens for a week but like I say I could be wrong, can anyone confirm this?

It's 1st September, the window shuts then squads have to be submitted.
