Why should you feel the need to not sing our British anthem just because England have decided to steal it for themselves? It would be different if it was originally England's anthem and it then became GB's.

In sporting terms, in Wales and Scotland, it is seen as the english anthem so how can you expect our boys to sing the "enemy" anthem? f*cking ridiculous.

Was told about some crazy agreements here in Australia regarding official sponsors. Not sure what TV station owns the rights to show the games here but only they are allowed to use the word "Olympics" in any of their broadcast. Every other station cannot use the word "Olympics" if they do, it's 3 strikes and their taken off air. Also if a member of the Australian team won a medal of any colour the official broadcaster can report on it and all other networks must wait 3 hours to announce it.

As a proud Brit I have no problem singing God save the Queen, but it is the British not the English anthem. When England stop using it as theirs this will have no political implications. Time for them top adapt to the new United Kingdom.

I would never sing it; and on a trip to Twickenham a few years ago (Cue the egg chaser abuse ) the Welsh National Anthem was played and was roundly booed by all the English around us and most of the stadium. So me and my Mate sat down through GTSQ and quite a few English went apoletic with rage because we wouldn't stand up but they showed our Nation no respect so we were just returning the compliment

However most of the time i would stand in respectful silence for an opposing teams National Anthem but sing GSTQ NEVER
