HAVE I MISSED SOMETHING

Thu Jul 26, 2012 9:21 am

Been away so sorry for delay, I was there at the meeting which by the title alone KEEP CARDIFF BLUE is more than OK with me, firstly I and many others want to make sure firstly we keep Cardiff, and whilst we can't keep it blue coz we are red, we can't hopefully work to get it back to blue which I'm sure we all want.As far as I'm concerned that is an invite to any Cardiff fan.

I can honestly say, I haven't met anyone who would choose red, but if it's part of the package, then many of us will go along with it, even if it is reluctantly.

My personal view and the approach I intend taking, is to fully support the team on the pitch as always, hope and pray that VT fulfills his promises that went along with the rebrand,he deserves at least that much after rescuing us from the mess we were in, however if in six months or so time it is apparent we have been lied to or shafted, then it's a whole new ball game and we should all let him know the consequences, but until then we should keep our powder dry.

Protesting now seems pointless to me at present because we are stuck with red and a crap badge for at least one season,no problem with actions such as wearing blue shirts, and actually suggested it myself as a form of peaceful protest in the first meeting with the club and fans. But we can't disrupt the team or events on the pitch, that is madness in my eyes.

And just for the record as others have said, no threats were made by me personally other than as a generalization that was shared by a good few, I wouldn't stand by and just allow disruption to events on the pitch without at least trying to prevent it, if that is seen as a threat, then it should only be seen as one by those planning such actions.

I haven't got a problem with this. I am completely anti red / the rebrand and also will be regardless if we are in the prem in 12 months time. In all honesty, highly unlikely to renew season ticket next year after the way things have been pushed through.

However I agree, we are def stuck with the red kit and utter shit badge for at least one year so little value in protesting (in terms of demonstrations)

To my mind the best way of protesting is for every home game to be a sea of blue. I for one will be shouting bluebirds each game.

If the club sells a pathetic amount of the red kits and each home game is a mass of blue it will send a very clear message to the owners.

I don't buy relica shirts however will be doing my best to wear blue clobber to each game.

Im with you Gwyn on this as i have supported city for over 50 years and seen all our matches in the old cup winners cup home and away and i bleed blue blood
However as much as i want us to be blue i have reluctantly excepted the red brand for the good of the football club
Vincent Tan as kept is word regarding investment in the team and hopefully we will have a team more than capable of getting us to the promised land at last
I personally think that we will eventually go back to blue but will except red because i want league football to stay in Cardiff
If supporters dont like red then yes wear blue at the games but please no demonstrations as this may harm the club and give us unwanted publicity that could harm the team
I ask everybody to unite as one and support the team the best way possible as i beleive this will be our season
Wear what ever colours you want but we are still the bluebirds and always will be

Im sure Ive read under FL rules that a club can change club colours during season aslong as it does not clash with the visiting team colours, Ive searched high and low for the ruling but cant find it now.

We have hear a lot about what went on at the meeting and being honest there is no smoke wthout fire Gwyn a lot seems ro have been aimed at you as far as maybe not personally threatening people but maybe not discouraging others eitherWhy did people attend who were not interested in kcb? What did they want to acheive? The people who want to kcb had set up a meeting to see what they could do to maybe stop it so why dint the people who did not want to support it just set up their own meeting and own discussionsSOMEBODY SOMEWHERE went there with the intention to cause trouble if they did not get their own wayMy personal views on the rebrand is i hate it but realise that NOTHING can happen this year to change it .Give the Malaysiands a chance to prove that they wil change debt to equity and see that they do what they have said they would .IF not then another ball game .ALL this in fighting is proving is that there is STILL an element of thugs so called supporting Cardiff CityNo idea personally who they are but im sure those in the know know who they are As for the rebranding DO NOT buy any merchandise kits etc as that is the best way to hit any business man (not buy their products therefore no money maid)

I am abroad again, so will hardly be on here, u were told the other night that there were no intentions to spoil the games or demonstrate at them inside the stadiums, but u would not listen, I always had respect for u Gwyn, there was no need for the other night. I am not going to go through it all again. They were all peaceful fans the other night, old people, women etc. They gave u there word that they would not disrupt matches and u ignored every word. we've been friends a long time and u should be honest about this, there was no need for it. I will not be getting in to a slagging match on here with u, I'm away now on holidays, but be honest about the other night, rem I was there.

Rem u also stated near the end of the meeting which had to be cancelled, that if Tan does not within 6 months make this club debt free, u will be the first over the fence at him, if u stand by that, then we both have the same beliefs and wants for Cardiff City.

Gwyn, do you think that all these investment issues, associated with the rebranding, can be achieved within 6 months?

I doubt if all of them can be, but at least we'll see how committed he really is and that he is attempting to back up his promises, some of the plans are long term like increasing capacity, building the training ground, but it be nice to see things in place.

I would think it all depends on the Langstone issue being resolved. No resolution = no debt to equity, simples.

So they were all peaceful, and you are saying you had not been involved in or discussed with others before this meeting about smoke bombs and the like?
Will the money that is made from this webiste be used to buy banners supporting KCB or supporting the club or simply used? I wonder if that is tax deductable? as the originator of this board, how would you feel if the majority of people who use it then ask to change the colour, would you do it just because more than 50% wanted it changed or would you say as I would, if you don't like it go somewhere else.

How would you feel if let's say you were going to buy a small struggling football club like Merthyr and their fans or Trust had the cheek to ask for some say and input into how things are run. Would you still buy it or invest in it if other people were going to tell you how to run your business and spend your money?

Those peceful fans, do they include the woman who called big Sam a child abuser because he'd bought his Grand kids red shirts, or that bloke who was jumping up telling me I had better shut my f*cking gob, or the nice ones saying they hope we lose every game because some things are more important than football, or the ones saying f**k the Malaysians because they weren't real Cardiff fans, or the ones saying f**k our delicate players if they can't cope with some disruption or proteste while taking their ten thousand pounds a week, are those the peaceful fans you are on about?

Why did you go in the first place Gwyn?

Re: HAVE I MISSED SOMETHING

Thu Jul 26, 2012 11:38 am

I was not at the meeting so i can not speak on something i never seen for myself but the amount of shit ive seen posted over both boards have been nothing but a good laugh such as gwyn turned up with iron bars and started threats with his so called gang but what tickled me the most was the henchman thread where gwyn was suposed to be the leader of people who in the own rite have more power man wise than most people in wales, so i failed to see how or why anyone would think these things when clearly some of the guys at the meeting vs some of KCB ideas do these things for a living and make gwyn look like small fry, ive yet to hear of any threats gwyn made personally but have been told others did threaten people which is up to them, maybe they lost it abit i dont know because like i said i was not there. I do not agree with threats or violence at all but im not one to go on to these people asking them why they said what was said threats wise. All we need to do rite now is support the team come kick off time because if all this shit feeling among fans spills on the pitch we all know what happens. Lets wait it out and see what comes of it all because sooner or later we will either be as one having a say at failed promises or we will be jumping for joy once the promises are made real. Only time will tell.

Re: HAVE I MISSED SOMETHING

Personally, I don't think anybody who wasn't 100% behind Blue should have turned up. It was a bad mistake, in my opinon. If they hadn't have turned up then none of this would have happened.

KCB is peaceful, and i'm 100% the meeting was as well until some people went there with intent to ruffle a few feathers.

I really do hope this is the extent of it Gwyn, and nothing else happens this season - though I have my doubts if things carry on in this way.

If fans want to protest against the loss of our identity they got every right too (as long as it peaceful) what right have you got to tell people when they can or can't protest who the f**k do you think you are .

Annis, you know from being around football yourself not everyone knows, like yourself from being around the game so long, how much of a bad influence protesting inside the ground will have on the team. Look at what has happened at other clubs.

There has been as many KCB campaigners who have been disruptive and abusive on the message boards as there has on the opposite side. Thats why i've distanced myself from KCB but still have the same goal. I know on this topic I have agreed with you which is funny as I have often disagreed with you in the past but on this topic you have done the right things which i respect you for.

As I know you are passionate about city it would have been easy for you to go full out behind KCB and be stubborn and not turn up but instead you're going to back the team until something serious happens like Tan dont stick to his financial promises etc. That is a respectable move IMO. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The majority of KCB are peaceful, some are not. When you have people abusing on CCMB and causing a stir or being rude you will get a reaction.

There has been an equal amount of idiots on both side whilst the majority on both sides have been fine. Lets stop playing the blame game and saying one side is peaceful and the other is not because that dont solve anything.

Lets work together as a united fan base of cardiff city fc and try and find a solution so KCB can protest peacefully and the rest can support inside the stadium. if KCB want to protest outside that is fine by me. If KCB want to get the media at games and give their views to the BBC before games etc, thats fine by me. If however they protest inside the stadium then I will wear a red and black scarf with a red top in retaliation to get behind my team IN RED AND BLACK.

The players and Malky have had no influence on this and its clear some of the players dont like the change and think its stupid so lets just support them inside the ground. Im pretty sure the players would rather their names chanted and the team celebrated rather than hear 'keep cardiff blue' or 'tan out' or 'tan has taken our soul' or any shit like that.

Sing bluebirds like we've always done and lets make it clear that they cannot take our identity because it lives on through each and everyone of us. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Wrong, it was a open meeting for those opposing the rebranding.
