I had 2 guys attack my Mum a few years ago because I wasn't home when they went looking for me, and when I rushed home after she rang they were still waiting. They both swung for me, but I then proceeded to teach them some manners and not to ever put their hands on my Mum again... Unfortunately though, as I bettered them, I ended up getting arrested and was told unless both my mother and I dropped our charges against them, then they would proceed with the charges against me, and as I had made a little bit of a mess of them whilst remaining generally unscathed myself would probably face a far heftier sentence than them...
So the moral of the story, if someone swings at you, drop to the floor, curl up in a ball, and cry like a baby, then when the police arrive you are blameless and they will hopefully receive a swift telling off followed by a trip on an African safari to contemplate their wrong-doings....
