I've been very busy this past pre-season with running my own 11 a side football team, planning my wedding and finding out that my wife-to-be is in the early stages of pregnancy.

My summer has really opened my eyes to how insignificant football is in the grand scheme of things and that it is purely just the fact we have the privilege of enjoying watching a team that represent our city every week in our city. Now I am not pro-red, pro-blue or whatever. I am pro-Cardiff.

It amazes me that there are these petty squabbles going on when there is a club, Portsmouth, that are dying on their feet. Maybe it would be more beneficial if instead of arguing amongst ourselves, every supporter donated £5 to Portsmouth supporters club?

We are all Cardiff fans. I'm not pro or against our colour of kit but the one thing I love is seeing the passion the pro-red and pro-blue supporters have for their respective arguments. I wish both sides all the best. Those behaving the way they have done recently though need to take a look at themselves and question just what their actions are doing for the good of the club. Nothing? Yeah, pretty much.

Best of luck to those that want us to play in blue and best of luck to those that want to play in red. Provided we have a team to call Cardiff that play in our city then that's all I want. Other than that lads, there are so many more important things in life. Stop wasting your life arguing with people that, at the end of the day, just want the same as you... the best for Cardiff City.

first of all , congrats to both of you on wife to be's pregnancy, also good luck with the wedding..... :ayatollah:

second you make a very good point and others should def sit up and read what you have written... there are many arguments for both sides of the coin, but last night brought shame to us all and yet again puts cardiff city in the eyes of the country with the wrong headlines....

What concerns me is that possibly from next season we may not be " The Bluebirds " and in future seasons we will be called " Cardiff City " or any other Franchise name the new owners want ????

No problem with that opinion Martyn and I partly agree. Whatever the fans are campaigning for then best of luck to them. Let's use this difference of views to make us stronger. The ironic thing is that both sides of the argument want the same result... the best for the club. The pro-red want the financial security of the club and the pro-blue want the traditions and the identity of the club secure. Two different arguments but both equally as valid. Let's embrace this difference of opinion and use it to spur the team on at the same time. Just don't drag the tone down. It's pointless.
