totally agree, doubt he cares though, as long as he gets his way!
next season is going to be a complete car crash, the only thing that can save it is getting promoted but even then it won't be the same and there will still be tension all season, really not looking forward to it

Agreed totally

Tan is a multi millionaire. Rich people are used to getting what they want, regardless of who gets hurt.

football clubs are not just a business mate, maybe some businessmen look at them like that but they are different, no matter what anyone says, because of the fanbase!

But not a business like any other. Football is a completely different animal and has to be treated as such.

I think it has been in the past and that's why we see so many clubs in huge financial problems.

Exactly, saying its just a business is just dumbing it down, you have to consider it in its own right!

Im sorry but they are to self made billionaires.
Problem is it hurts us personally as nobody here wants change, but we have no alternative. I know it was not red or dead but we would be staring at least 10 years of catching up.

VT does not care about our football, shirt colour, badge or whether we batter each other. He wants his money and a return on his investment-any which way he can. I won't be suprised that if we don't go up this year that he asset stips and leaves. The malaysians are certainly not in it for the long term otherwise we won't be seeing this debacle.

i would rather support a blue Cardiff that get's relegated than a red Cardiff that gets promoted
supporting a club and enjoying it is not about what division theyre playing in, even though we'd all love to see them in the Prem!

NO! VT hasn't created this split.
He is a business man. He is in charge, he's running his business how he wants.
The split has been caused by narrow minded individuals who only know violence as a way of dealing with situations.
Yes, Tan brought the re-brand, but fans should unite and protest, not take sides and make threats!

He is a business man who has completely alienated i would say about half of his "customer" base, there's too much passion within a football club to go casually making changes like this in my opinion, it means too much to some people!

Lots of brave words.
I don't want my club to go into liquidation.
I don't want my club to go into recievership.
I've seen relegations. I've seen the slide from Div2 (old championship) to Div 4. 20,000 crowds down to 2000.
I've supported a club with no money. It's not fun.In this day and age it would be a lot worse.
I reckon 99% of posters who say they are happy to be relegated(or worse) in blue would soon find something else to do on a Saturday afternoon if this happened.

My personal opinion is, that VT never truely knew what he was getting in to. And never expected this reaction.
There was always going to be resistance, but i'm sure that he never thought it would turn violent

Good post. Whats to say that a red Cardiff will get promoted ? Whats to say that Cardiff would go bust if we did not re brand ?

Yeah that's true, i guess i meant hypothetically that if we get promoted, it wouldn't be the same for me anyway!
if we don't get promoted then it all seems pointless!
i just feel that alot of people are behind this change because they think it'll bring success, the club have clearly stated it was never red or dead so why else would anyone want it?
I don't believe we'd have gone out of business either without this rebrand!

I have to admit it appears to me that the 'debt' is rising faster than a speeding bullet. Where did 100 million come from when we were what 30-40 million when our 'saviour' took over a short while ago,
Are we really that far in debt, or are the figures massaged to enable us to be steamrolled?
As far as tonight is concerned, it's an absolute disgrace that these nobodies like this 'Gwyn' guy can cause such an uproar. Everyone has an opinion and everyone has a right to express it, whether they support the rebrand, live with the rebrand or oppose the rebrand.
The stupid fact is, that those who want to protest against the rebrand are really quite small percentage of the total support (not saying the majority wants red at all there). had these complete brain dead numpties not turned up tonight then the meeting may have passed almost completely un-noticed and if we start on a winning streak the KCB support may have dwindled and disappeared very quickly.
At the end of the day, the vast majority, if not all, would prefer to stay blue but the vast majority would accept it if VT came through with the promised he has made.
Nothing yet supports that he will.

I don't quite agree, I believe fans should unite and support the team, BUT be allowed to protest the change to red IF they wish (not when the game is actually being played though)

Lets be fair the plan that was introuduced wasn't done right. Should of warned the fans instead of catching us out. If there was some kind of leak to us fans that made us aware and give us a chance to share opinions and try and agree the fans would of been more civil. But it was dropped like an egg and fans just went anger and all out just lashed their opinions out. Would of been easier if there was a way that he has this plan and told us whats what and we could of talked about more fair.

Of course he f*cking does!
Why else is he making the investment?
It just happens that to make his money he will have to take the club to the premier league and keep it there.
He will issue shares/take other investors on board/sell.
So what?

It was leaked, was on my way home from West Ham, checked Twitter and apparently an announcement was to be made on the messageboards regarding our financial future, saw the massive leak on CCMB, club should have thought twice on who they told about the re-brand, VT and TG and all the others would have been able to present it much better, some of us fans only have ourselves to blame.
On another note VT may be a bit selfish for changing us to red with no marketing plan introduced but at the end of the day he's been paying our bills, he's kept us alive for the short term future, for the long term future only time can tell, hopefully the Langston debt is settled and we achieve the much needed promotion to the Premier League, if not I fear for the future of Cardiff City, I'd love us to be blue but unfortunately we have to go through with his change, I respect the KCB campaign for standing up for what they believe in and trying to be peaceful, no doubt some idiots threaten violence as do the Red side.
The Red Fans who threaten violence are pathetic and the Blue fans who scare monger by saying 'Will the gates be painted' and that are pathetic.
Whatever happens, I'll be there, I'll be there, with my little pick and shovel I'll be there
