Correct. They played like a cross between Wales and England (which is understandable), which involved hardly any chances on goal and a lot of passing back to the keeper.

Good luck to anyone who has Olympic football tickets. It will be very difficult for you to stay awake.

Fair enough. I only saw him as he came on as a sub.

That was a really boring game. That's a couple of hours of my life I won't get back.

The home team did briefly threaten when Danny Rose drilled a low cross that Craig Bellamy, booed throughout by the Boro crowd as a consequence of his former association with Newcastle, stabbed goalwards but he was ruled offside. :evil:

There are some excellent, skillful players in that GB side, but the creativity just seems to have been stifled. The Pearce Factor or not? I'm not sure.

I can't imagine they'll play any worse than they did tonight, but watch this space.......
