Hey Krabb, I've been here for just over 3 months now, living in the SE in a place called Mckenzie Towne and work in the NE doing a crappy job by the airport. I must admit the life here is amazing compared to South Wales. Don't get me wrong driving through Beddau, Ponty and Rhydfelin is a beautiful experience, but they don't even compare to driving the roads here, seeing the snow capped rocky mountains in the distance and heading off to the mountains whenever you feel like!!

How's things Nick? I would have though that Mark would have destroyed the place by now without me there to look after him!!! I must admit I am missing working with everyone and am missing the job itself.

And Tenerife, how could you leave this place, Country Hills is beautiful, just round the corner from my hanger. I haven't experienced the full force of winter yet, it snowed quite bad when I firsdt got here in April but everything seemed to be pretty geared up to cope with it, unlike the UK!!!

I've been looking for other bluebirds on here so if anybody knows of any let me know, watching the games on a Saturday morning on my own isn't quite the same!!

Hiya mate, didn't want to leave but my mother-in-law past away so my wife and kids wanted to come back :-( I used to work in Universal Ford in the north east by the airport. We could see the rocky mountains from my house, what a view. Prepare yourself for the winter mate they are freezing, we witnessed -45 degrees, icicles in my nose and eyebrows lol but I loved it. I'd love to go back one day. Good luck watching the Bluebirds at 8am lol. I used to coach an under 16's girls football team and guess what I called the team, ok I'll tell you, NCU Cardiff Bluebirds :D my daughter was my captain and now she plays for Cardiff City Ladies. I loved my time in Calgary, especially visiting the hot springs in Banff and Lake Louise, awesome. Watch out for the bears and coyotes also the hares are massive. Good luck with everything mate and all the best. I wish I was still there to be honest.

Hey Tenerife, sorry to hear the reason why you left mate. A shitty situation to say the least! I work not a million miles away from universal ford, on McKnight blvd, and then have to tackle deerfoot on the way home!! (going in is fine at 05:30!) but the thing that makes it all worthwhile is when I come around the corner and see the mountains in all their glory, an amazing sight.
I don't mind watching the games early as I have a 1 and 2 year old so I can grab them and lie on the sofa and hopefully they'll be quiet, if their not they'll be sent to the basement (oh, and it's not converted yet!), plus it'll allow me to start playing again, fatty needs the exercise!!!
As for the cold, really not looking forward to that, especially as I work in a hanger where the doors will be open most of the day!!

If you do manage to get back here give me a shout and we can go out for a few, all the best
