Because we have lost out on a few players. Players choose to go to different clubs for different reasons but it seems a habit now that City do not seem to get many of their targets. The story comes from 2 different papers so I would imagine that there is some truth in the story.

Doesn't he already play for Bolton? Surely "snubbing" us to stay in the club he's played for the past 2/3 years is hardly a sign we can't seal deals lol?

What about Varney, Noone, Sordell, Rodriguez just to name a few. I accept that he was already at Bolton but at some point City have obviously made contact because he was at the point of leaving.

His contract has recently run out at Bolton and he's obviously been offered a new one. Probably his agent has dropped our name to the press to get him a better deal at Bolton. I'm certain however that MM would have no interest in a 32 year old defender who it probably no improvement on what we've got at the club already.

Sordell went to a Premier League team, as did Jay Rodriguez. Vardy went to Leicester for the money.


Are you forgetting we signed Jordon Mutch, a highly rated, Championship midfielder from Birmingham?

Birmingham need the money at the moment hence that probably was a part of the reasons for the move.

Shackell went to Burnley and we don't know yet where Keogh will end up. We may have signed Mutch but there are many players who do not see their future at City for whatever reasons. We lose a lot more than we sign.

But I do hate it when it is 'officially' announced that we are after so and so and willing to pay 'x' amount. I feel like saying 'shut the fck up'. If it doesn't come off we look fools, so better to keep quiet.
