' So were getting nearer '

Mon Jul 09, 2012 4:54 pm

VT has now upped it to a £9mill offer to Langston in the last 48hrs.
Langston are holding out for £10mill and a bonus if City go up to the Premier league in exchange for the debt of millions wiped out, interest in millions wiped out and the naming rights worth millions being given over to Tan.

It also means the so called forensic accountants found nothing.

Hmm
Any thoughts on the out come ?

Were only half way through July interesting month ahead.

We have a small squad for a big challenge ahead this forthcoming season. The sooner this is sorted and we can buy some new players, the better.

£10m and a promo bonus, has sam moved the goalosts this time then??

If he wants a promotion bonus as well then he can accept the £9million.

I can't remember reading about a promotion bonus being part of the deal? £10m in one payment was my take on it?

seems to be that Tan is just waiting to see if they'll accept the cheapest amount to get the best bargain, but seems that Langston are saying £10m or no deal!... just pay the fuckers Tan, an extra £1m is like finding a pound in your pocket

Can someone explain what forensic accountants do, and what they were possibly looking for?

It was always in the deal the promotion Bonus, even before the Riddler days.

I just want this sorted once and for all and City to move on and clear all our debts. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Do you know if this offer contains any type of bonus or future payment like the past offers Annis?

Def no future payments, that will be it, £10 mill settlement and promotion Bonus and that will be it, once and for all. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Annis as BT used to say in their advert "It's good to talk" and this sounds like we are moving in the right direction.

But I am disappointed Langston now want a promotion bonus on top of the £10m now as it certainly sounds like goal posts are being moved on ALL sides.

But it is positive both parties are still talking and I believe a deal will get done.

Sounds about right!

However, on the bright side we have tabled an offer of £9million, in my eyes that is damn close to an agreement. I am positive that it will be over by my birthday on 30th July!

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:14 pm

Tan wanted to offer £8m -- Langson wanted £10m --

I think at £9m its time to shake hands and part company.
Then we can get down to football business! :ayatollah:

I smell a deal on the horizon......

It is finally looking good and more positive than ever, but as we all know with both of them, it can change at any moment, Happy debt free Birthday. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

You're right we are in the middle here but getting this settled is probably the biggest issue on which fans are united so I hope both sides sort it out this month.

In my opinion Langston have done enough here and the club should get this signed, sealed and paid.

I always thought 9m would be reasonable and for both their egos showing neither losing.

First I've heard about a promotion bonus in the pay off negotiations. It's always been said he just wants 10m.

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:24 pm

Remember though people, Promotion bonuses are only payed if we are promoted!!!

on the flip side, if we get to the estimated £100m premier league payday, who gives a f**k of an extra couple of million, once Tan renames the stadium and stands with sponsorship as well as the current investment package, it's not going to be so much of an issue..... not to forget to (sarcastically) mention the extra revenue from malaysia from us playing in Red and the potential TV Broadcasting deal....

JUST SHAKE HANDS FFS! :ayatollah:

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:24 pm

No disrespect to anybody but this situation with Langston is boring now he said he had 10 mil to pay em so just pay em simple in it.

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:24 pm

Like you said in an earlier post Annis. It needs to be sorted for the sake of all concerned :old:

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:29 pm

The Echo report a few weeks ago has Sam happy to deal at £10million. There is no mention of the promo bonus. The Malaysians offered him a promo bonus if he accepted £8million now.

So is Sam now saying he did just want £10million he wanted the £8m + Promo bonus enhanced by £2million.

I hate slimy f*cking businessmen and they are on both sides of this cock measuring debacle.

Sam has moved the goalposts he was offered £8m plus promotion bonus but did he not say he would take £10m to walk away, now he want's £10m plus bonus boy oh boy!

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:43 pm

Annis I forgot to say was not the original promotion bonus if we went up within 2 years? surely that's gone now, or are you saying that that the £8m payable this next year plus bonus has bow been upgraded to £9m plus bonus?

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:54 pm

at least tan is seemingly going to get langston off our backs even if its dragging on to long

id much rather sacrifice a big money signing and have our debts partially cleared :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
