Maynard's apparently going out on loan to Blackburn.
I have plenty of patience for Malky's plans, but if we're missing out on goalscorers like Maynard or Best - who are instead willing to work with
Steve Kean - then the players he's looking to bring in must be bloody brilliant.
Blackburn becoming a force on paper. Let's hope Steve Kean is as pathetic as he was last season in the Premier League.

I reckon Blackburn will be up there challenging for top 2

Players are going there for money, not to work with Steve Kean. Fans will be all over them if they aren't in the top 6 from the get-go. I won't lose any sleep over Blackburn...

In my opinion Blackburn, Bolton, Blackpool and Wolves all have better chance of top 2 than us but plenty of time left before season starts and you would have thought leicester should be up there last year and were well short.

I've said on here for a few weeks we should've inquired about Maynard......

I will be bitterly dissapointed if we don't bring in a striker that is comfortable playing up front on his own, as it was glaringly obvious that is what we lacked last season.
There's still plenty of time though, so we will wait and see, hopefully Malky has his targets.

Should have signed him last season when West Ham had him for a bargain 1.6 million. Bristol were looking for 4m !

Not really concerned if we didn't go for someone like Maynard. But someone like Leon Best would have been a great signing and surely there is money in the pot like the bid for Rodriguez suggests, so we should be in for players like this.
