BELLAMY EYES RETURN TO CARDIFF CITY

CRAIG BELLAMY has opened the door for a sensational return to Cardiff City.

The Liverpool striker is set for showdown talks with new Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers.

Bellamy, who turns 33 on Friday, has 12 months remaining on his current contract.

If first-team chances continue to be limited on Merseyside, Cardiff boss Malky Mackay is ready to make a £2million move for the player.

Ex-Wales boss Mark Hughes also wants to be reunited with Bellamy at Queens Park Rangers – and has offered the player £90,000 a week.

Bellamy spent a season on loan with home-town club Cardiff two years ago.

A source close to the player said: “Craig is desperate to come back to Cardiff.

“He really enjoyed his time on loan at the club but he feels it is unfinished business after not being able to win promotion into the Premier League. It would be a great move.”
