Reds boss rules out Bellamy exit

Sat Jul 07, 2012 7:02 pm

Bellamy's future at Liverpool has been the subject of speculation with former club Cardiff expressing an interest in re-signing the Welshman.

However, Rodgers has no plans to offload Bellamy after holding talks with the 32-year-old earlier this week.

"I had a really positive chat with Craig on Monday," Rodgers said.

"It was good to meet him and get his side of the Liverpool story. He's a big supporter of this club - he loves the club.

"He's a good guy. He has a real passion for Liverpool Football Club and that's the type of people I want here.

"I like his intensity, his work-rate and his passion so I would love him to be here.

"He's a player. It would take a really special and unique opportunity for Craig to walk out of Liverpool and for us to go our separate ways.

"If anything changes on that from a personal perspective then him and I will talk about that."

Isn't this just the same as I governers post in the stickys.

I swear posters are trying to dig up the most negative things they can to post on here.

We already know all this. But we could be the "unique" reason.

No surprise to me that. Rodgers hates City with a vengeance - witness his drunken comments during their promotion celebrations. He would do anything to scupper City's chances of going up. Supposed to be a friend of Malky? Well maybe - but no friend of Cardiff City. I hope he's sacked by Christmas.

Pinch of salt.

That's what managers say to keep tetchy players happy and also to alert potential buyers that there will be a fee as we REALLY want to keep him. Do you hear Mlky telling the world that Anthony Gerrard is a prick?

Rodgers got the job because he would not be demanding trillions in a budget, he will have to top up his budget by selling for a fee.

Is this the same Rodgers who said i don't want to speak to Liverpool

The saga bores me now tbh, I don't expect him to sign so will be delighted if he does, once officially announced.
