would you drink in the stadium from 12am if there were chairs and tables in the concourse and food and drink was half-price up until 2.30pm .... i know the reason i would never go to the stadium early because football is to expensive as it is without being ripped off with food and drink! ... the surrounding pubs around the ground are full to the rafters and asdas restaurant choc-a-block .... the bands are a great idea BUT while the drink is at the price level it is, they have no chance! .. COME ON CITY, SORT IT OUT!

I think if there were tables/chairs, etc and the prices were reasonable the club would make a lot more money by increased sales.
Spoke to someone who sits near us last season, he was drinking a small bottle of wine from the stadium and I think it cost him £4. You could get 3 of the same bottles for £4 in Asda across the road. What would most people do?

I remember when I went to the presentation about the new stadium being told that the plan of the club was to do exactly this, they didn't want people just turning up, watching the game and going home. They wanted people to make a day of it, come in to the ground early, have a few beers, watch the pre match build up or whatever live game was early kick off, watch our match and then stay and watch the post match show that would be broadcast in the concourse. Sadly the riddler seemed to screw that up when he sold the rights to the food and drink! Everything is so expensive and none of it goes back to the club, if the club received profits but still wanted to charge expensive prices then I would definitely eat the plastic cheeseburgers and drink the pissy beer!!

They the politician in Ridsdale though, all talk.
Not sure they have room for tables and chairs if I'm honest.

It could never happen that way as the Stadium is not designed for it. So u cant blame the current owners for this. The best they could do is put live entertainment on early and work something out with compass on making drink/food cheaper before a certain time, but they would also have to improve the food and many dont like plastic glasses.
I think we should concentrate on getting a quality squad first as promised.

I probably wouldn't in all honesty as I prefer to have a few beers in town and then get a taxi down with the lads
or drink in Canton/Grangetown.
They are full of shit down there, the bars are/were supposed to open for an hour after games, for one game
we arranged taxi's to pick us up on sloper road at 6 cos the weather was shite. Straight after the game we bought a pint
but by 20 past 5 they were asking us to leave. With it hammering down and 10 of us there having a good swig they could have
easily taken a good £60-70 quid of us but the staff just wanted to leave.
Its a good idea what Aherne has suggested but they would have a lot of work on their hands. They would need
to sort out the beer for starters and stop employing misserable staff.
They also need staff that speak English and stop that pre pouring bollocks.
My opinion? It will never change.

Why would we??
The beer is shite, its overpriced and the service time is unacceptable.
Will we do anything about it? No.
Will they do anything about it? No.
So there's your answer.

Think the club need look at what works and why, pre game.
Dont think fans go out early to listen to a band or comedian, they are into football. Probably wanting to 'get in the mood' by watching early game or sky sports.
Then theres an issue about food and drink.
Pre game, most people want a few beers (good beers), with some tidy grub (pies in my case) alongside a bit of banter with mates or other fans. And at reasonable prices !
Standing in a lifeless concourse, with a plastic glass of expensive beer in one hand and a warm pie in the other, dont do it for me after traveling three and half hrs to get there.

What happened to people power?? If the club dont earn any profit then why are we lining the pockets of compass?? If nobody buys anything they will soon dissapear

Prefer the pre-match drinks in Canton, not a bad Idea mind.
