Not quite sure where I seen the 10 signings......but did see it on the forum somewhere and possibly on the echo.

But if we were to sign Bellamy, with a reported 30-35k, then it would be obvious that you would have to sign less players in order to cover the wages.

10 players sounds a bit drastic.
5 sounds about right to add to the current squad.
But then players who leave would need to be replaced.

if he gets the 5 he wants and assuming gerrard taiwo and earnie move on we would have 22 outfield players pushing for a first team spot, mcphail may not be capable of playing a full season and harris and ralls are still very raw, given that we have failed in the last few years in the second half of the season due to our squad size i would be happier with 7 or 8 new faces, which is what malky originally said he wanted.
if it goes to the wire and we miss out what then, the old dont worry theres still the loan window line will be trotted out. fingers crossed he gets at least this 5 in or i think we may end up in the playoffs at best (again)

Maybe those 5 will be permenant signings and then 3 loans when the loan window opens totalling 10 new players.

Can't be bothered to count but didn't we lose 10 players at the end of the season? Also Parkin has left and I expect Gerrard and Keinan to be offloaded too. That makes about 13 in total....so to only get 7 replacements will perhaps leave us a bit light. Having said that if the next five are real quality then I'd be happy with that.

Naylor, Quinn and Heaton are the ones I can think of out of contract and we paid up Parkin.
We replaced Heaton already and losing the others doesn't make us any weaker IMO as they played very very little.

I think MM still plans to move on quite a few more but I'd think his 5 would be to add up the squad irrelevant of sales.
Those who we can sell can then be replaced.

I don't think we need a bigger squad just more quality.
Or if we can lose Quinn, naylor, Gerrard and Keinan and just replace them with two good signings it gives the squad much more strength.

But the new goalie in my opinion is no better than Heaton and so does not count. Heaton should of been treated better.
