How come City have left a goalkeeper go from the academy at 16 and the kid is that good he is playing in the Welsh premiership for AFAN LIDO first team this season. just like the kid that MAN CITY have just singed from Cardiff and the kid last year to MAN U,

look im not saying at 16 he can play for city firsts , but to play for a welsh premier side at 16 he must have something to offer, as there are a good few keepers about at that level

hope theses kids dont come back to haunt us one day

Football is all about opinions, unfortunatly for the lad somebody at City doesn't rate him. No disrespect but if he's playing for Afan Lido then it's pretty obvious not many other clubs rate him either. Good luck to the lad though, nice to see he hasn't been put off football like alot of released youngsters these days.

Can you remember the last keeper to come through are academy to play first team football you would have to go a long way back.

i used to watch the youth on sundays waliking the dog , some great kids there , but ive bloody moved now so cant see wats coming up,

used to play welsh leauge myself so got a good idea wat its all about ,

what i meant about the young keeper is that if he wasnt good enogh for youth how at 16 can he be playing with men who themselves are a lot of ex pro,s at welsh prem level, city seem to get it wrong every season with letting kids go

Thats five in the last 10 years Matthews was from the swansea academy.
