0.34% of season ticket holders - speaks volumes

None of us want to be Red but could not do what they are doing - respect them nevertheless :ayatollah:

Hope they have other intertests to occupy themselves when the season's in full swing. The Lone Gunman in particular will be having a life changing experience if he's stubborn enough to change his habit of a lifetime. :D

And what about the thousands that haven't renewed their STs???

Re: 70 down the city

Wait until next season! I think that a lot of fans had re newed before the re brand news and don't want to go through the hassle of a refund, etc. They will see this season out. There are fans who are sitting on the fence to wait and see what happens this season. With an average season I can see thousands not re newing next season with the re brand affecting those numbers.

If City are not promoted then the number of season tickets next season will be reduced significantly. The so called 70 are just a small number considering their season ticket status.

Sadly BB30 -u have a legitimate concern that worse case could affect 5000 fans.
The 3000 plus who haven't renewed and the 1500 plus who got Carling Final tickets.

The danger being that most fans align promotion with the reluctant acceptance of rebrand.

Failure to go up could be a rebrand disaster.

This season will be v tough as many teams are gambling or having new owners to get up. As the stakes are so
High now.

Pressure now on MM and our fans loyalty.

Just hope this Guy is a feast from the East and not a Beast from the East :ayatollah:

Don't know corky.

When I attended the meeting at the club last week most fans seeking refunds were south Wales based.

I don't think any of us have taken the decision to ask for a refund lightly. I've been going for 24 years and my family have been watching City since the 1920s.

Very sad how it's all panned out.As soon as Tan has finished vandalising our identity, I'll be back in a heartbeat. :ayatollah:

I think that if the re branding had been announced prior to season ticket sales this year then there would have been thousands less renewing this season. Time will tell re the full impact.

Someone told me that anyone who now wants a refund has 10 days to apply.

One of the reasons, as Alan Whitely stated, that they were reluctant to offer refunds at all was that they thought this would encourage more people to request a refund.

With just over a month to the start of the season, time is definitely running out if the Keep Cardiff Blue campaign is actually serious about ensuring that on the first day of the new season Cardiff run out in blue and not red.

Might be difficult to organise, but if people are serious about wanting to stick to blue, I would suggest that everyone who has any commitment to the cause should request a refund in the next 10 days.

Just read Annis's post saying that the official line is that after July 3rd, you won't get a refund unless they can re-sell the ticket. So much for above idea then.

Complete bollocks. As soon as this rebranding madness is finished with i look forward to renewing my 3 season tickets and continuing to support the club my family has followed for nine decades.

I hate what Tan is doing to our club and as much as it hurts, not going to ccs next season is the only option as far as i am concerned.

i admire your stance alfie, i didn't ask for a refund myself but i thought long and hard about it and decided to stick with it this season and see how things pan out, but i i still feel the way i do in march i doubt whether i will be re-newing next season, but hats off to you and the others who are having refunds :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I renewed my ST before this 're-branding' vandalised our club. Have not asked for a refund, but really dread the first game. See how it goes, but doubt if I will be able to stomach the red shirts.

Malky and the players, the latest being Whitts, know that next season will be difficult. None of this was necessary. Never seen our fans divided like this before. This fiasco is bound to have an effect on the team. The Premier League is further away than ever.

WHY ?

Re: 70 down the city

Sat Jul 07, 2012 9:39 pm

I'm one of the refundees (is that a word?). Gutted, but will never accept the rebrand. Judging by the survey they sent out, the red shirt and dragon are here to stay too :(

Re: 70 down the city

Sat Jul 07, 2012 9:51 pm

The survey is a farce. They ask about everything, except the eliphant in the room. What's all this 'match day experience' crap? The best experience we could have is a decent CCFC, playing in blue at home, with a decent badge. Never mind the bands, half time kickabouts, play zones etc. Let's get back to basics.

Re: 70 down the city

Sat Jul 07, 2012 9:59 pm

70 have asked or 70 have had refunds?
My understanding was it was up to 70 and some had decided to remain.

Because the club have no plan to change the idea of red or the dragon so asking fans about a potential change on them would just be a piss take, knowin full well it wouldn't be changed. The survey was about getting the best going forward within the perimeters set (which it stated several times).

I feel the same as you when it comes to the red thing gutted but i kept my season tickets to give myself every chance to watch city play but is it still gonna give me the same pride, passion, buzz ? The jury is out but the first game cant come quick enough for me to find out.
