DIDIER YA KONAN

Thu Jul 05, 2012 4:42 pm

His name has been doing the rounds and the rumour is that City have lined him up in a €5.7million move.

Not true and that is an official response from our club.

Re: DIDIER YA KONAN

Yeh this was just some stupid rumour that somehow spread really quickly, he's a good player in a top league, with respect to Cardiff he is too good for us.

Re: DIDIER YA KONAN

Thu Jul 05, 2012 4:58 pm

with all the red shirts throughout asia i was expecting us too spend that much on one player ............ pathetic

I was told earlier that our scouting missions have led us even further afield and one or two diamonds will hopefully be joining the probable 3 domestic targets

The negativity and under-estimation of Mackay and his staff on the messageboards is astounding (but it's mainly jacks on a wind up or Cardiff who haven't got the first feckin clue). Exciting times ahead

Scandinavia is a particular hotspot for our scouts Tony :ayatollah:

I am looking forward to seeing some incomings even if we have to wait a little longer.

Malky is like a vintage bottle of Highland Scotch - He doesn't need to be rushed

Up until Christmas last season we were arguably the best side in the championship. We knew then that 3 or 4 additions in January and we would have given it a real go at the business end. I think he'll get those additions this time and we'll possibly go up. Which will be bitterly ironic for the loyal fans who have followed us through thin and thin over the last three decades but will be missing this time due to their rightful beliefs

Malky believes he will have 1 player in by the time they fly to Switzerland.

Quack quack. ;)

Re: DIDIER YA KONAN

Not being a party pooper but I thought that we would be better gambling half way through a season in january when we were right up there, rather than the start of this season when EVERYONE is going for it due to the Premier TV money.

Hope that Malky is the real deal and gets the support he needs
cos on first year review he seams to have all the credentials to take us where we need to go.

Carl - does that mean we are still in the running for Henriksen and Sigurdsson?

By the start of the season there will be plenty surprised at just how far the club have trawled. A fair few miles farther from Scandinavia :-)

You mean Malaysia?

Re: DIDIER YA KONAN

I can't imagine any Cardiff fans bothered if we picked up a supposed Malaysian"star", so in answer Bob, no. A few more surprises to come - fingers crossed. Sorry for being so vague but it's privileged at the moment but I'll give CCFC their dues. They're working hard to get international quality in

I think like you Tony, there will be serious expectation when the season starts if Malky can pull off the quality signings that he and his scouts are tracking.

From what I understand he hasn't signed for them yet - Wolves have agreed terms with his club but he isn't allowed to speak to them untl the end of the Norwegian season in a few weeks. It could mean that we have also agreed to meet their asking price, whch might still give us a chance.

Let's wait and see. When the press get hold of it you can return to this thread and say"Ah, that's the country that vague fucker was hinting at" :-). Fees need to be agreed but it is quite an obscure country in terms of us being linked with one of their players. The net is wide!
