Why do we keep this up? This was a report comissioned by the Welsh assembly and free to anyone that wishes to search for the information...

''The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) Caravan Count illustrates that Cardiff has by far the largest Gypsy and
Traveller caravan count in the South Wales region
and the Vale of Glamorgan one of
the smallest.''

maybe we should sop that line of obsessive behaviour toward them eh?

do you see any hint of me trying to take the piss out of swansea anywhere in this article, it was in todays south wales post and you have taken the decision to turn it into that type of thread..

i was pointing out that we the taxpayer will be forking out for this again, when the money could and should be put to more appropriate needs... i was pointing out the time taken to find a site for them and the manpower in doing this...

Why is that a bad thing though? the traveller community would just end up squatting in public parks etc which would cause outrage and posibly even violence.

why should they be allowed ??? they all go around in range rovers, and top 4x4's with expensive caravans that they pay cash for and then they expect to be given a large plot of land to settle on with water, electricity etc... and what then do they put back into the community??

can you give me a good example of what they will bring to the area ??? and what makes them exempt from paying national insurance and taxes??

Lets be realistic here. You are of course right in terms of they should be treated like everyone else but our government are backward. They do anything to keep the peace and like to be seen as accepting multi cultarism. Hence why mosques are popping up quicker than churches now.

They give them a site, usually waste land, away from housing estates and usually in factory commercial areas simply to keep the peace. the last thing they want is a race war on their hands which would probably end up being caused if they were forced to integrate with the general public.

We call them gypo's because they act and look like them, not because they are.
Look at this video of them, lovely Swansea.

Isnt that a clip from a programme about a group of heroin addicts living in Swansea though rather than an accurate cross section of the population?

Next you will be trying to tell me all Australians look like Holly Valance, Natalie Imbruglia and Kylie Minogue...

No I won't. Or are you speaking hypothetically again?

No it's not an accurate cross section, but it do show how one of the heroin capitals of the uk (pro rata) looks to most.

Like it or not jack, it is how many see the place. Embarrassment to Wales.

Wishful thinking there I think.

1) Gypsies dont look like heroin addicts.
2) there are more heroin addicts in Cardiff than anywhere else in Wales

It i pretty cringy that we come out with stuff like this when we cant credibly comment on footballing matters anymore.

Jacks playing a better standard than us, I'm over that, and hope to catch up.
In the mean time, take the piss anytime I can of the jacks. Especially as we are the capital/better place/tourism etc.
Besides, if you find it "cringy" don't comment.
Even better, post on a jack site. You obviously love them so much.
Not sure why you won't grow a pair and admit your a jack? Perhaps you a a woman/girl and not be up to it?

Doesnt seem like you are over it to me...

I always comment when I find on of us being cringy as it worms its way over to the Jack site and we become a laughing stock again. Im the voice of reason on the threads so when read, outsiders dont think we are all deluded obsessives.

And im not a Jack, but you are more than welcome to think I am.

I'd look a bit closer to home before concerning yourselves with the (tiny) gypsy population of Swansea.

There are 8.0625 pikeys in Cardiff for every 1 in Swansea. FACT!

Gareth me ol' mucca! During my exile I missed our intellectual debates on the Gower peninsular, and whether or not it is incorporated into the geographical, political and administrative boundaries of the city and county of Swansea. It is. End of!
P.s, there are a grand total of 0 pikeys residing in the Gower. They prefer the bright lights of the capital! The only folk in caravans you might happen upon down the Gower are the tourists, including a sizable number of your lot, seeking the majestic beauty and serenity of Swansea and it's simply stunning natural surroundings, such as can be found in the Swansea suberb known as the Gower. You can hear the Caadifians a mile off with their high pitched worzel/scouse accents. Anyway, how are you old bean?

Suberb? is that because it is a super suberb? BTW I'm well-glad to see you back on the website of the capitals football team. I almost miss our little debates
