Just 1 question, what are your thoughts of those people who has had there money back from the season tickets,
Wed Jul 04, 2012 9:18 pm
if they are real fans, and done it as a knee jerk reaction, most of them will end up buying tickets game by game.. and putting more money into the club..
will miss the buzz of the game, the day out with their mates.. few beers...all because of a colour change...
Wed Jul 04, 2012 9:18 pm
Wouldnt do it myself, although I've lost a lot of love for the club over the whole fiasco. However I do respect people who've made the decision to do so if they think they've lost their club.
Wed Jul 04, 2012 9:20 pm
I could never do it I love watching cardiff to much, yeah we get pissed off and frustrated but we all love it really

I'm glad they have got what they want. Just hope they don't keep going on about it.

I have total respect for them, I seriously considered asking for a refund myself but decided to see how I feel at the end of the coming season, if I still feel the same I won't be re-newing the following season, and whether we get promoted will have nothing to do with my decesion , it will be based on how I feel about the rebranding then and how much I'm enjoying match day at the stadium which is something I've enjoyed less and less since our move from ninian park
Wed Jul 04, 2012 9:36 pm
Respect to them for giving up something that means so much to them or did, I wouldn't say there not loyal or anything, we're all Cardiff fans and I'm sure they will still watch us when televised and keep their eyes glued to results but feel like they can't hand over money to the club. I could never walk away
Thu Jul 05, 2012 8:25 am
Respect them ,if that is what people want.
Thu Jul 05, 2012 11:10 am
Total respect for standing up for their beliefs.
Thu Jul 05, 2012 11:23 am
I have no problem with people choosing their fate, however.
How many of the fans demanding refunds bought the tickets on the back of the Cardling Cup final and simply want a refund as a way out.
But as many have said, they will miss out on the social aspect of being a season ticket holder.
Like Rudi has stated, blue, red or black who cares its still Cardiff City.
Thu Jul 05, 2012 11:24 am
Not really got any thoughts on it tbh. If that's what they decide then that's there choice! I spose the money they save will come in handy for other things... Weekend in butlins or something.

I wont miss out on any social aspect. I will be going to the Cornwall as per usual, and staying in the pub with my football bets, along with quite a few others who have made the anti-red stance.
As for this myth that those demanding refunds as a way out of getting one soley for the CCF then not strictly true. TLG a season ticket holder for many years doesnt fall in that bracket, and I know one guy, Quiet Gav from Tongwynlais, a season ticket holder since the 80s, who has pledged his refund money to the NSPCC.
So a little bit of balance for you right there.

I disagree about the Carling Cup FInal false promises, Do you know all 70?? if we are top 3 by Christmas you watch half if not all buy half season tickets simply because they miss the crack.
With regards to TLG i couldnt give a rats ass what he says,TLG like many of the so called anti red are poisonous to the club going forward, and as a fan who is embracing the changes, are happy to see them go.
My answer and I bet its similar to the clubs thinking is, we have 16000 season ticket holders and 70 dont want in.... who cares
Thu Jul 05, 2012 11:58 am
Do you know all 70 then? no thought not, your guessing as well. At least I had a couple of examples.
Besides, its not just the 70 who wanted the refunds though is it. Theres plenty, like myself, who hadnt renewed yet and others who pay walk up, who have become dissillusioned with Malysia FC, and the rebrand was the final straw.
For most of the people I know taking this stance, myself included, I couldnt give a f**k if we are top of the league by 10 points in red, I will still be dissillusioned by it all and wont be going. Success isnt what drives me. If you followed City through the 90s then you will kbnow it was never about success. I can still have the crack down the pub, or going away.
If we dont get promoted next season, then we can judge how much of an effect this rebrand will have. I think its safe to see we will lose more than 70 off this years number of STs.

Your right, I dont know all 70 and again ill say it again, I couldnt give a rats ass about the 70 and there so called thoughts. until there is a reasonable alternative we have no choice, however from a business perspective I totally understand the rebrand and the thought process behind it.
with regards to success, we have about as many plastics as any club, taking almost 40000 to wembley showed that, what im trying to say is even if 10000 fans walked away, the club know there are 10000 plastic fans to replace them, remeber its business as long as tickets get sold, the owners couldnt care about who buys them.
I like many fans I know, would have renewed not because we are pro red or we are so called soul sellers, we are following the same club as I have been for over 25 years, and 11 as a season ticket holder.
Thu Jul 05, 2012 12:11 pm
Do you really think if 10,000 fans walked away in the championship that 10,000 will instantly replace them

Dream on. We cannot even sell out play-off semi finals.
I know people who have been to Wembley more times watching Cardiff than theyve down to NP or CCS watching Cardiff. They are not going to replace the ones who walk away. Trust me.

explain why we have 16000 seaon ticket holders yet 40000 went to wembley then smart ass!! plastics available at every club once success come along.
You are deluded.

People will go along for a day out thats why, if they cant be bothered going regularly now, whats changed? Oh yes, we play in red. Silly me, im sure 10,000 people will now want to start going regularly because we play in red.

You are talking as if promotion is a given. If we dont get promoted this year and people walk away, they wont be replaced.
Its not like we sell out every game and have people waitingt in the wings, chomping at the bit to come to the matches. This is backed up by the FACT we couldnt sell out 2 play off semis.

Thats where you are wrong, I agree its not all about playing in red, its about the success the investment will bring and part of that investment is playing in red.
You keep saying that we didnt sell out the semi final, let me give you a straight answer why, we got battered in the first leg and that made it almost impossible to turn it around at home, hence the poor attendance.
It we won 2-0 at upton park, trust me we would have sold out.

Fiction is the form of any narrative or
informative work that deals, in part or
in whole, with information or events
that are not factual, but rather,
imaginary—that is, invented by the
author. Although fiction describes a
major branch of literary work, it may
also refer to theatrical, cinematic or
musical work. Fiction contrasts with
non-fiction, which deals exclusively
with factual (or, at least, assumed
factual) events, descriptions,
observations, etc. (e.g., biographies,
histories).

You claimed, in your "straight to the point" answer to me that the reason we didnt sell out the home leg against West Ham was because we got battered in the first leg and it was impossible to turn around at home. You claim this as FACT.
Sorry to keep making you look such a plank but the 1st leg was at the CCS. So in FACT your fact, was, well, fiction. Made up. Lie. Whatever you want to call it.
Sometimes its just better to hold your hands up and admit you made a prick of yourself.

I fancy meeting up if you want to dodge that one? free this afternoon?
Thu Jul 05, 2012 12:58 pm
Wanting to meet up cos I made you look a fool

No dodging, im in work until 6pm.
But I wouldnt meet up and risk going to prison again over some petty squabble on an internet. My kids and livliehood mean to much to me smash f**k out of someone who can dish it out but cannot take it back.
Just hold your hands up and admit you made a tool of yourself.
