Official proof FIFA rankings are pathetic

Wed Jul 04, 2012 12:53 pm

England rise to 4th!!! Remain above Italy, Portugual, Brazil, Argentina. Just weird, did we really watch the 4th best team in the world at the Euro's?

Wales stay 38th

Brazil down to 11th  The World Cup qualifiers are going to kill their rankings.

I know Holland were crap at the Euros but theres no way they could be considered 8th in the world

The Rankings I believe are based over 3 or 4 years, so in the next few months whatever our results we will gain or lose points - Then the results we had 3-4 years ago will drop off the scale
It is like a sliding scale of 3 or 4 years.
That is the system they use. :ayatollah:

I seem to remember our results in 2008 being absolutely shite. If we win a few (Bosnia, Belgium, Serbia and Scotland our next few games) of our upcoming matches we can hopefully get inside the top 25 :ayatollah:
