Convert to Islam, say your a muslim and it's against your religious beliefs to pay money to infidels. You'll need to cultivate a shoddy beard and put a sack over yer birds head for added evidence as to your devotion. Having an alarm clock in the car or any clock that ticks very loudly is useful if stopped by the fascist left wing police especially if one runs from the car shouting in a loud but clear voice "Allah be Praised death to the infidels".

This technique doesn't work in areas like Aberdare, Tonyspanda, Methyr, etc as the locals tend to beat the crap outta yer.

Plan B6v7A, pretend to be an Oirish Pickey although this only works if you have a vehicle that costs around 20 years salary for the average working man. You'll need to put on yer best west oirish accent, remove all forms of paying tax for the vehicle and have a shit in the road without wiping yer bum.

Or just cough up the loot.

My niece recently passed her driving test and when she went for insurance found the following 2 things made a difference.

Obviosly the type of car,and the age of it.Insurers will often bump up the price on a banger just as much as a new car.
Getting one of your parents as a named driver apparently makes a big difference.By this I don't mean trying to get parents to take out insurance on your behalf,a ploy that does'nt work anymore.I think she ended up paying about 900 quid for fully comp on a 5yo KA.

try Aviva Cal, and get someone who has been driving years as a named driver, that should drag your quote down :ayatollah:

if you say your not single that brings the price down aswell. i have been playing around with insurance websites and found if you put two older people as names drivers on the insurance you can bring it right down.

Having spent hours of my life searching for insurance for my lad, I have played with the online forms from the comparison sites and have now discovered what seems to affect the price for youngsters most of all.
Firstly use the comparison sites as they will be cheaper. There are many ways which you can get on the road such as being a named driver etc but the best way in my opinion is to buy a small enginged car say around 1000cc. Insure the car in your own name with you as the main driver but the secret is to get a female such as your mother to be a named driver on your policy, this will bring the cost down because if someone else has access to your car then it will mean that you are not using it all the time and so there is less risk in you having an accident, also by putting a female down as your named driver then is cheaper than putting down a male for some reason.
The biggest single factor affecting the cost appears to be when the online forms ask how many years have you have held your license. For example to insure a corsa 998cc for my lad was something like £3000 but this was based on us inputting that he had held his license for 3 months.I tried different timescales in the box and the cost kept coming down the longer he had held his license. When we inputted that he had held a license for 3 years the cost dramatically came down to £980.
I know that you will most probably want to drive straight away but if you could wait a while then the cost will dramatically come down.
So to recap, the best chance of the cheapest quote would be to go on a price comparison site, I found the cheapest for my lad to be confused.com as the other sites quotes were always that little bit dearer. Insure a cheap small engined car in your name and put a female driver as your named driver. Try and not drive when you first pass your test and the longer you leave it,the cheaper it will be. :ayatollah:

you enter all the correct details? and like i said above, put you or your friend as the 2nd driver, put someone in your family whose been driving for year with no convictions or claims on as the main driver, will really save £100s!

If you have a bang and the insurance company find out that you are the main driver and not the person named on your policy they will not pay out.

Insurance companies are clamping down on this.

I believe the age limit should be raised and after youngsters pass they can only drive during daylight hours and with no more than 1 passenger.

Too many crashes and sadly, fatalities, caused by young hot headed inexperienced drivers.

You wouldn't give a child a gun. A car is also a deadly weapon in the wrong hands.

This safety message was brought to you by Gonzo on behalf ofthe "I'm fed up of boy racers thinking the road past my house is part of the Nuremburg Circuit" group.
