My opinion, they would only be interested in us, if we were in the top 6 of the Premier League for many years and winning trophies and until that day they wont be. And our badge/colour would not bother them.

I agree, can't answer your question. It's like saying we'd all be huge fans of Kuala Lumpa FC just because a Welsh dude took over them!

The answer is they wouldn't.

However, there is a business plan in place and a strategy to get us into the Premiership. So there might be wide spread interest in us at some point in the future but at this moment there would be just some intrigue but not much interest.

Tony, Sorry my friend I have to disagree with u on this, when the club was asked at the meeting the other night about VT's business plan on why the colour/badge change, the answer was this is one mans vision and Tans vision, unless any of u here have £60 mill to invest we have to go with his vision. Interesting times ahead for all of us.

They do know of us to be honest. But we need to get to the prem for them to take more of an interest. The idea to promote us a club that has a fusion between both our cultures and theirs is to be more appealing to them

Could it be that V T has planted the seeds that will bear fruit should we get into the Prem league, it really pisses me off the negativity that is on this forum, if we got into the Prem I am sure that people on here would still find something to complain and moan about, let them get on with it, and use your energies in a more productive way like giving your support and thanks for what the Malasians are trying to do for our club.

To be fair I don't view this as a negative question, it's a pretty legitimate question to ask especially as the Malaysians have said on numerous ocassions they're trying to 'raise the profile of the club in Asia'.

Your right I would as long we played in that pathetic badge and red colour. I will never be happy till we get our identity back and that is my right as a Cardiff City supporter, like yours is to accept and like it.

i dont think it is a negative question, in reality there is already one club in the premier league that has an malaysian owner, but there are are also several clubs that go there on pre season tours every year beacause the premier league is a massive draw out there, why would they have any intrest in the championship.

F**king right I would find something to moan about, I don't pay £329 per season just to watch football ;)

steve we have seen so many false dawns following the city you more than i have
as one of the other posters stated we have to wait and see
the prem maybe to be all and end all to some but i believe ccfc means more to people than selling out and throwing away our history just for a moment in the sun for some del boy to show off in asia
see you in crown tomorrow for meeting :ayatollah:

Football is not as big in Malaysia as some other countries. Championship football would not raise much interest. If we hit the prem then income from Malaysia would still be limited. I would have thought that China might offer better opportunities as football is beginning to establish itself there but :ayatollah: there is no point entering this market unless we have premier league status.

No other options on the table at this time, what we need to be carefull of here is, if we piss him off he will say f**K you I am off, lets give him the oppertunity to see how all this pans out, it will not happen overnight this will take probably 5 yrs or more, I have been waiting 40 odd yrs and this is the best offer we has supporters have had in a long long while, and has for the rebrand I will make my desisions after he has had the oppertunity to put in place his buisness plan, and the vast majority of people in the Maesteg area that I have spoken to are in agreement, they also see the rebrand as not a major issue, the team is still Cardiff and we will continue to support them come what may

Hve you as a supporter had any intrest in Malasia since we have been taken over? I have, and I have read articles about Cardiff in Malasia, VT is hugely influential in Malasia and he has the contacts that he probably is trying to bring on board to raise the profile of Cardiff in Asia, we are seeing inovative things happening at our club like the new ticketing scheme, and the transmission of Cardiff games to Asia, to raise our profile and standing, in what are the richest economies in the world at this present time, what have we got to lose? This could be a bumpy ride but lets try and enjoy it while we can, as we don't know what lies around the corner, I wasn't having a dig at you personaly, it's just that people are questioning everything that is going on down there at the moment, lets just wait and see shall we.l

Not being hyper-optimistic here, but this is the same philosophy as to why football clubs give free tickets to school children for certain matches and sell cheap season tickets to children and families!

I know we are talking about people many many miles away from Cardiff, but the saying is that from all acorns an oak tree will grow, well even if the oak trees aren't so big, then it's better than having no oak trees at all (If that makes sense :) )! :ayatollah:

I have already seen people from Malaysia at our games on more than one occasion. With games being beamed over there now and some advertising it think VT can see a gap in the market, Something to link them with an English League club.
