I have a glass TV stand on sunday night the stand gave away the tv toppled and smashed to bits

i rang my insurance company and they say because of the value I have to wait for a loss adjuster to ring me

Will they tell me where I have to go to buy a tv or will I get a choice ?

But if you want a 50" sony - can you pay the difference- do they PAY YOU OR GIVE YOU VOUCHERS ETC ?

They will give you a cheque, the loss adjuster will match your tv and as your model is discontinued if you have new for old they will match it up to the nearest value tv, if you do not have new for old he will ask you how much you paid for it and how long you have had it (you have to show receipt ) or he will guesstimate it's value now if you do not have receipt

Just had a quopte for my wall which was smashed into by a drunken Uni nsured Ely gang a few weeks ago. Writing off my car as well

Insurance co are willing to send me a cheque for £1550 --got some builder to do a job for 850 so should make a nice tidy profit.

go get a quote for a replacement befor the loss ajuster rings you get one from a non discount store then when you get your cheque look around for the best price you can get hope thats usefull to you good luck
