My thoughts are that if you own a property, you should be able to choose exactly who you want as a tennant. I don't agree with discrimination, but if you own something, you should be able to choose who uses it and how they use it, regardless of whether your choices are repugnant to others or not.
On the other hand, If someone rents houses to white and non white tennants and then treats them differently, then this would be unacceptable.
The one thing that is most noticable, is that it is generally the ethnic minorities that are guilty of discrimination in this respect and this generally goes unchallenged. I am sure if the adverts were placed by white British people, stating that rooms are only available to white British, then they would probably be torn down.
Yet again, it seems there is acceptance of discrimination by the minorities that shout loudest when they themselves are discrimated against,
