he ran out of money jinks simple as that really and paul guy had been paying the wages for some 6 months prior to sams departure and they were never going to get the stadium approval with sam at the helm so he had to go if the club were to have any chance of getting the stadium progressed.

What he wasnt ousted, double crossed or forced out against his will?
So he signed over the club as he coudnt afford to run it?

Jinks he still wanted to control the club although other people's money were keeping the club afloat.
If he did not leave there would have been no future for the stadium and we would have gone into administration. He still left with a pay off as did his brother ned.

Putting all the bitter rivalry and fighting aside for a few seconds, you have to remember that Sam got us from the 4th division was it? to the top of the championship and knocking leeds out of the fa cup after a season they got to the Semi Final of the Champions League!

He had built an academy system and improved the youth training, he also left Millions of pounds worth of assets on the pitch including the likes of Ramsey, Jerome, Kavanagh, Johnson, Earnie, Ledley, etc etc and got all the initial plans for the new stadium in place.
Dont think anyone could not thank him for that no matter what, even after all the issues he may have caused regarding the finances and debt etc etc.

I'm not a Sam Hammam fan, but he did bring the better days back to the fans.

So question is, WHERE did all that cash go? on the Assets he left behind? Could the club have uses all these Assets to pay him off years ago.... Riddler, Jones, PMG just as greedy as the first man if you ask me..... they have made quite a nice little earner whilst being involved with this club.

no one is being bitter here it was a simple answer to a simple question.
as for where did all the cash go remember when sam bought the club for 3.2 million we were actually 1.5m in debt.
when he left we were 27 million in debt.
where indeed did all the cash go

Coudnt sam have cashed in on these assets himself?
The thread is about How exactly did sam get done over? as i wanted to know how this had happened but thats been cleared up in this thread :D

Woudnt sam have made money out of city and the land if he could have? Not just sam but anyone with the chance would have..
I didnt know paul guy was paying wages for 6months before sam departed?
Looks like he had to go due to debts etc i was under the impression he was forced out or double crossed..

annis
sam would have made that money for himself if he had been able to come up with a viable business plan and the funding to go with it.
i wasent having a go at sam but just answering the circumstances of his leaving.
i have always told you that if sam had used paul guy instead of capitol and regional to bring in clients for the retail park things would be very different now.

Who also was responsible for the drawings/architects and getting everything done ?

annis i dont know the answer to any of those questions but regardless of business plans sam did not have the funding available.

But wanted to know how if he was the owner did the club get signed over?

That's something that the pro-Sam posters can/will never answer.

There is no doubt that PMG and others have done very well out of the club but where that £27m went has never been explained satisfactorily. That's particularly worrying when you take into account the monies raised in the fire sale of players during Sam's time at the helm.

I guess that Sam put very little of his own money in otherwise the debt could never have got to the level being stated.

Re: How exactly did sam get done over?

Tue Jul 03, 2012 6:35 am

So if the debt incurred by Sam has NEVER been paid back to him after his INVESTMENT , then exactly where did ALL the subsequent money disappear to ??? We all know in Jones's book how much money was made from player sales , so taking Sam's / Langston's money out of the equation ...... then where did all the missing £millions go ??????

1.John Rosier now working for PMG :o
2. All the Architects were brought in by Paul Guy. :o

So all those people Sam thought he could trust were all Paul Guys men and u really never knew Steve. ;)
