For me no - Holland team of 1974 gets my vote even though Spain have won three major trophies and the dutch didn't win much if anything -can't remember off the top of my head. They were the total football side that re-inevented the game and were amazing to watch.

By default then, their 'total football' wasnt quite total enough.

Spain though?......

The speed they were pinging that ball about last night was amazing. They were practically
shooting at each other from ten yards away, controlling it, then smashing it back to feet.

Impossible to compare them to teams of yesteryear, but what I will say is that there's not
an international team in the world could have lived with that performance

If they can win the 2014 in Brazil (who I would consider favourites) then there's no doubt if they are the best ever. Xavi will be 34 then so he won't be as effective pulling the strings, Iniesta and Alonso will be 30 and 32 respectively, while Villa will be 32 as well.
However they do have players like Llorente, Silva, Mata, Alba, Pique, Busquets who aren't as old so they will obviously have a good go at it

Yes they are and I expect them to dominate international football for many years to come.
