I've read a few posts over the last few weeks of people saying heskey noooooooo???? Those people obviously ain't got a clue about football or just read the papers and automatically assume he's a bad player. Just behind the main striker he would rip this league apart, he's never been a goal scorer but he always provides and people who says otherwise ate clueless

to be honest with you he isnt a terrible plaer but he doesnt offer enought, its not tht he doesnt score but other than being big what does he offer. he isnt tht mobile, he doesnt have pace, all he can do is hold up the ball. Whilst we need someone like tht im really unsure of what level he actually is at. He may be good at championship level but he may be terrible. Hed be on high wages and at pl level he isnt tht good. If we have ambition then why would we sign a player thts old and at the level were aiming to get to cant play . HE may help us get promotion but i doubt hell be tht special , then wed be left with a player on high wages tht is at best a average player in the premiership.Hes been on a rapid decline since he left liverpool, just because he was good once doesnt mean he will be again.

Heskey brings players in and is great at holding the ball up and the number of assists that he puts on is unbelievable, also he does chip in with a few goals, personally if he played in the championship with us he would get into double figures as he is on a free this maybe his last move so wages would not be that high as if they were no one is going to offer him a contract

Your clearly somebody I'm talking about in my post

someone who reads papers and agrees with everything other people say, if you actually watched him, he would be a great addition to us. An average player?? Yeah right, thas y every manager including England managers pick him most games even though his lack of goals!
Sun Jul 01, 2012 9:01 pm
he is off to Hull.
Sun Jul 01, 2012 9:10 pm
I get that he's
fantastic holding the ball up, but if City were to pay him £40k per week (he was on £60k at Villa), then I would expect
goals.
He's scored
one goal in the past 16 months. It's a pathetic record.
No thank you.

He's got no chance of anywhere near 40k.
If he went to Leicester he may get 30k at most but he's being linked to hull and I can't see them stretching the budget to that much.
If we could get him for 15-20k I'd say it would be good business.

Mate no im not, i watch football, i see how he plays, yes he brings players into games but he is not all that. O yes aston villa played him loads didnt they, if every manager picks him then why may i ask you is he a free transfer, y is there not a big queue lining up to sign him? He would offer something to the team but on the wages hed expect probly 30kish hes not worth it . His lack of goals is one majour issue , as thts what we lack in strikers. I personally dont rate him. he can really contribute in some games but then again he goes missing in many others.

Oh give it a rest. He is not accurate enough. The goalposts in the championship aren't bigger. If he cant get his strikes between the posts in the prem he's not going to do it here. Bellamy was class at prem level and never ripped the league up in the championship. Heskey wouldn't either. He's old, inaccurate, his positioning is terrible and he has no pace. In fact the only two things he is decent at are heading and falling over.
In his good days he could finish, assist a striker, he had decent movement, strength and work ethic in his prime and thats why he got touted a lot but none of that is that great anymore. At Liverpool he was a commanding presence and could hold the ball up, now he falls over a lot at Villa and his work ethic isn't at all that good.
Anyone who would want to sign Heskey, especially with the wages he'd command, are clearly sniffing coke.

Always them!

Just a big, black version of Miller. Although his work rate and strength is phenomenal. Wouldn't be a bad free agent, would play more of a midfield role than striker though as he did for Villa pretty much.

I agree with the generalisation but Heskey is stronger.

?? Just behind the main strikers... surely if. you know so much about football heskey is a Target man who holds the ball up well and brings or gets the best out of a nippy goalscoring strike partner like he did with Owen
Sat Jul 21, 2012 7:49 am
The only club thats interested in him is Ipswich if that aint telling you something.... Heskey no Ta past it

How many goals did he get last season?
1
How many assists did he get last season?
0
How much did he earn a week last season?
60k
He is shit face it, this shit about holding up the ball and providing for others is shit, maybe he did that a few seasons ago but he is actually terrible add to that the amount his wages would be.
Sat Aug 04, 2012 10:49 am
His wages will be whatever clubs are willing to pay.
What he was paid last season at Villa is irrelevant.
He is currently without a club and on £0 pw.

just behind the main striker? What for his vision, little touches around the box and passing ability?
