Premier Club founder members now upset by club

The club has been upsetting a lot of people recently with the theme of 'lack of consultation' re shirt colours and talk of a deal being reached with Langston only for the goalposts to be moved once that deal was agreed by Sam.

Well, they now have the Premier Lounge founder members in fighting mood after news of their 'new deal' was given to them at a meeting with Julian Jenkins last night.

Whilst I suspect few of you will have sympathy with Premier Lounge members, thinking they have enough money to 'ride any storm' the point I am making is that that the club seem to be upsetting everyone with scant regard to the loyalty and support shown my these fans in the past.

Without going into any details, as I believe these should be confidential, members have had certain benefits removed for the coming year with the promise of a bigger benefit in the final year of their 5 year deal. Deja vu? Pay today for a benefit in the future.
I left the meeting believing Damon Searle when he said that the proposals were just up for discussion but am now plagued by growing doubts as I read that Sam accepted 10 Million up front only for the Malaysians to change the deal at the last moment.
Either the club has a very incompetent PR department or it is just riding roughshod over its supporters.
I will let you know whether the club continues to honour the existing contracts with Premier Lounge Members or forces through the changes outlined last night.

I will not say more other than that this affects FounderPremier lounge members only, those who paid a joining fee in four figures, not members who upgraded or joined after the first year.

The deal is there IF you want to take it, there is a scheme already in force to compensate the founder members, the only difference to the old contract is
No more free coffee but heavily discounted real coffee not the stuff they give free in paper cups
The new deal is £200 cheaper for over 60's and under 16's
the new deal is only a rolling 1 year deal, so if you have 2 years left, if you sign up to the new deal, you can in effect cancel after the first year

Guys I know what it is.

Basically the new package you can pay an additional £100 for lounge plus which gives you all the cup games.

Those that paid a year on year membership fee for this perk will not get the fee refunded. That is all

Both Packages include all games, the new deal for Gold members year on year is a choice of 2. Lounge member and Lounge member plus, the latter not affected by the change other than they lose car park space, which we are only entitled to because of the club sold off gold packages on a cheaper rate. For compensation the club gave us free car parking, 2 free guests tickets worth £120, and discounts in the shop. The new gold members had half time coffee no more. To be fair the Club have looked after all the original 5 yr term members. The old saying you can only please some of the peaple some of the time, and not all, all of the time . Also the meeting had nothing to do with the rebrand and it was hardly mentioned. Finally the Premier level 4 has had a complete rebrand, with new coffee shop, Legends Bar, Restaurant, and Clubs best Moments Lounge. certainly these changes have brought the place to life.

But you only read about Sam (who is Langston so lets stop that pretence) accepting a deal for 10 million on here I bet! No deal was reached or Sam would be suing!

One of my best mates is a founder member and he hasn't complained about anything so stop trying to suggest the club are acting against supporters in everything they say and do.

After Ridsdales cock up with new members a compensation package was offered the gold members.
Upgrade to Diamond for the price of our original gold annual fee, The Diamond members had their Anual fee reduce to £1200. +Vat ( same price as the old Gold Fee)
or the gold members could have their fees reduced to 850 + Vat Free Car park 2 Comp premier match tickets Discount in shop.

We were one of the first to join and we have never had any compensation.

The only time our DD changed was when the VAT rate changed.

It may seem insignificant but I'm sure free tea and coffee at half time was included in all the publicity when the premier club was launched. So if they cancel that they are changing the terms of the package and you should be able to cancel it unless it says in the contract that they can change the terms when they feel like it. Similarly if you have anything in writing about the compensation package then I'm sure you could use that to say they aren't continuing their part of the deal and therefore you can cancel.
