i think everyone at some times doesn't have there opinions respected or doesn't respect others i have in the past but if you give it out your should be able to take it back and not leave the board spiting your dummy out of your pram

I know I have lost that debate but it's these insults I don't get.

You can say by not using insults etc. but even if you don't, the person whose opinion you are disagreeing with will still say he is getting slated (or at least feel he is).

I have seen it hundreds of times on loads of message boards. I suppose the answer is everyone also has to respect the fact that their opinion might not be universally popular.

I don't mind that as they are gentle but still saying their views.

I have taken part in debates and have chats with mates about politics and that's what they all say if they don't agree with me.

You don't respect an opinion that you abolutely disagree with , you respect the person who has that opinion.

Nothing wrong with debate over differeing opionions but far too many posters on the forum are taking differences of opinion down to a personal level resulting in childish slanging matches.

In situation like that there are no winners everyone who lowers themselves to that level looks equally stupid.

I am pro-blue but I am not gonna call every pro red poster a c**t or similar because they dont agree with me thats life agree to disagree and move on and see how it turns out.

The strangest part is we are arguing about the unknown and what if's ,what if VT pulls out , what if VT doesn't carry out the investment , what if we get to the premier league.

I think we have been dealt our hand for the start of the coming season and we have to deal with that , I am not suggesting the pro blues are wrong neither am saying that the pro reds are right. I just hope that whatever happens at some point in the future there can be greater unity amongst the fans than there is now as the club needs all the support it gets whatever the colour.
