In my opinion it's notably due to the fact he's a decent player who a lot of people would have liked to see have an international swansong, not to mention he was a figurehead in the Olympic bid team

beckham is only after a knighthood. That's all he wants, so he can roll around with his smug face thinking he's someone important. Let this be a lesson to him lol. I'm not fussed on giggs either because of the way he treated his national commitments I.e he couldn't be botherd to play half the time, but for me, giggs deserves his place more than that self righteous prick beckham because giggs has achieved more in british football and is a better player!
