Note for the Dealusional.....

Thu Jun 28, 2012 11:43 am

I have been vocal in my support of Tans Ideas and have not changed my stance on it at any point to date,
But I'm slightly concerned by comments from Tan and Malky suggesting we're aiming for a top two place this term.
If this is the case and game plan for the season ahead then Tan had better get his cheque book out and Malky had better get his shopping list sorted because even If you include Bellamy in our squad your looking at Playoffs if that.

Most of us have seen what we can do on our day and all agree we lack the depth to sustain a season long campaign at the top.

I have no issues with MALKYS dossier programme however we need qualiy and quantity which is something we have lacked for a many few seasons now.

Malky has said that he wants to sign at least 10 new players? two have come in......its not all about bellamy? hes building a squad to challenge for automatic promotion......

remember the window isnt open until Sunday......I expect us to start signing players on a weekly basis after that.....according to what is being said anyway....the sooner the better

EXACTLY - The window has been open since the last day of the season.Podolski agreed to sign for Arsenal before then even and before people say players contracts run out in July this is not the case as every deal is different.I believe the players start back to work on Monday though. :ayatollah:

The official transfer window does indeed open on Sunday 1st July. Joe Lewis will be joining us on a free on the 1st July as his contract with peterborough doesnt expire until 30th June, and Jordan Mutch, although its been shown we have officially got him, will formally become a Cardiff player on Sunday.

The issue with Podolski is the same, he has signed a contract with Arsenal to commence from the 1st July. For some reason, the 30th June is seen as the end of one season, and the 1st July is seen as the start of a new season. Its the same with businesses, etc.. and their 'financial year', one year ends on 31st March and a new year begins on the 1st April (i think its march and april anyway :?)

Aren't they pre-agreed deals? If I remember correctly Podolski signed for Arsenal with a few games left. :ayatollah:
