I agree, a lot of huff and puff but little substance.
I'd be surprised if the club many people confirm they want a refund.

Bit of a joke really, the insults and bitching since the rebrand has been a disgrace from a lot of fans. It goes to show how many of the so called anti-red we're season ticket holders.

They called us plastics....

Did cp37, canton magic and bluebird1977 turn up?? Curious

What a shame that those who did not turn up couldn't stick to their principles. They have missed an ideal opportunity to voice an opinion (which MAY have been reflective of many fans views). I would have thought that not many football clubs would offer such an opportunity. It is not really about whether the club would do a massive 'U' turn....but an opportunity to sow seeds and MAYBE get people in the club to take on and think about fans opinions. Sad really....Ah well.

Fair do's to Malky, couldn't imagine many of our past managers doing this. Wish i'd requested a refund now just so I could meet Malky ;) Top man Malky!!!

Valid post skybluebird.

An opportunity missed really.

The club hit it straight on and offered a one to one with a group of fans.

Whether those fans have given up for good or needed persuading has been missed when they havent even bothered to attend when offered.

They have let themselves down more than any 'pro red' that they have slammed.

I hope the fans that did attend get the opportunity to voice their opinions and hopefully build a bridge.

Us fans reluctantly accepting (at the moment) would like some feedback from this meeting
:ayatollah:

We have a diamond in Malky - lets get behind him and go for it.

Always Blue :ayatollah:

Starting to sound like Ridsdale and the Golden Ticket Scam all over again. Everyone wanted him convicted until it came to making a statement and turning up in court.

Again we have huffing and puffing but when it came to making the call the guns fell silent.

As usual your fans show no back bone. Have to be the most gullible fans in the country. Then again that team of yours has been gutless for years.

Taken from MM board so don't shoot the messenger :D

Oh and Malky Mackay was made to turn up, didn't seem to have any meaningful contribution to make and got angry with everyone when they asked him how he would feel if they did that to his Celtic which I guess proved their point.

Well, arguably gullible fans are those thinking paying 5p in the pound is acceptable.

Plus you support a team who make more money selling managers than players...

I didnt turn up because:
A) I havent purchased a season ticket for the first time in years because I was already getting fed up of Franchise FC before the latest PR disaster.
B) I was therefore not invited
C) I wouldnt have gone anyway. Total waste of time and the club confirming what we already knew Ie There is no grand plan, its all one mans lucky whim, there is no major chinese investment waiting in the wings, and we are not going to be debt free.

You keep telling yourself we have sold our soul for the greater good

As for the bitching and insults pot, kettle and black spring to mind

If its alright with you I would rather keep players. But one day the likes of Vorm and Joey will go but they will go for vast sums.
Making 10m from managers is killing us mind, most club pay compo to sack managers we make profit. Terrible business model.

As for the 5p in the £, granted it was a dark time but the money we owed was pittance compared to the money we have put back into the city and local firms. Most of our debt at that time was football related and don't forget over 90% of the people owed money voted for the CVA.The club had been run by incompetent fools before the CVA and the debt was large, however it wasnt due to chasing a dream or selling out our values. That decision enabled the club to survive and to generate the income it does today for the city. We rebuilt thanks to the vision of our board, local support, generosity of our creditors and the support of the city as a whole.
Many companies go through tough times but I am proud of what we have achieved, and proud in the way we achieved it.
