with the jordon mutch deal confirmed, speculation over bellamy and now noone etc.. do you also think malky is also looking for a striker, if so , what type of striker would you like to see city look at??
for me we def lacked goals from our strikers last yr..
i think miller will def be in malkys plans, rudy nothing more than a squad player and with the extra subs allowed , more than likely on the bench.. i personally would loan him out, mason will be a key player for us this season, but he is def more effective behind a striker, linking with the midfield..
if we are going to get that much needed pace outwide, then would we need a big target man? someone to get on the end of crosses or would we need something different?
thoughts??

Yes I think two will be brought in......
A target man and 20+ goalscorer Lafferty and Le Fondre (Just my opinion)

le fondre would be good.... i liked him when he was at rotherham and wished we had taken a punt on him back then... where many said the champ was a step to far for him...

think he said more like he still has a future!

I liked him when he was there too, also Sam Baldock both young players, who can score when they get a chance.
wouldnt mind either of them two

I would have either of them on a season long loan, with a view to a permanent deal, can't go wrong then.

I think first of all we need to start creating chances, because we just didn't create enough last season, also i think someone like Nicky Maynard would be the answer, he wont be playing first team football with west ham this season, maybe a loan or buy him...I agree with we need a target man, i would nice good to have a fully Gestede this season...and i would love to see Jay Bothroyd back here..

Rudy is about the only signing Malky made that I have real reservations about.
Bothroyd, no chance wouldnt want him back. Half a decent season got him a Premiership team.
But deffo a striker is needed. Kenny Miller at times was superb, workrate wise. But just
does not offer enough goals. Joe Mason will probably up his scoring to around about a dozen
this season though, he's going to get better and better

It's no secret that the team/squad needs another striker.
Someone hungry like Adam Le Fondre would be perfect and don't forget Bellamy can also play up top
I wouldn't be confident going into the new season with what's left from last year to be honest.
Kenny - Disappointing goal tally but good work rate and is good tactically.
Mason - Brilliant season last year and I think he'll get even better this season.
Rudy - Still raw, too soft and very injury prone (I'd loan him out).
Earnie - Too slow, caught offside too much and cant play the lone role (Let him go for free when his contract's up)

I mentioned Le Fondre as a good target last summer but then he went to Reading. I can't see him leaving there. He has done a decent job for them and will be looking forward to Premiership football.
We definitely need a striker who is capable of scoring 20 goes per season. If they have pace all the better.

We should have a go for Kyle Lafferty. Type of player we missed last season

No thanks. He could only manage seven goals last season playing in a mickey mouse league.

I just saw that hes a knob aswell, ignorant to young fans etc. So yea I agree

Marvin Emnes over at Boro for me. Can hold the ball up well and scores quite a few goals too, got to be worth a shout. Then maybe Fraizer Campbell at Sunderland on loan, his pace could work. Look at what he did for Hull.

Pointed that out on another thread. Its true also.
Target man? Rudy needs to be loaned out!
I hope we get a target man in.
Le Fondre would be better if we bring him in January. Be great for the push depending where we are.

I think he'll bring in 2, hoping anyway
