Not sure if this has been posted, but I was browsing Flickr the other day and came across this:

Don't know what to say, you've only got to read the design brief to see that the changes we've already experienced are probably not the end.

Not sure how people pro the rebranding can be happy with or accept this.

It fills me with sadness and anger...

I don't believe it's genuine in any way shape or form.


Borley's already said they have no intention of going to a design agency and the current badge clearly wasn't designed by one so this is just shit stirring imo.

"Cardiff City Dragons" - The dragons bit must have been included in the design brief, otherwise, why would the designer include the word "Dragons", when we're know as Cardiff City Bluebirds and our existing badge had the word "Bluebirds" on it?

But lets assume he's telling the truth for a moment. The club clearly didn't accept his design and the badge we have now is about a million miles away from that.

Although that badge does look far more professional than ours.

All this digging trying to findout what tans plans are really doing my head in I.support cardiff city have done since 1968 but the changing color or new badge design ain't my problem I'm actually starting to question whether I'm actually going to follow city anymore not because we playing in red with a shit badge but because sum supporters can't accept anything all this scaremongering really testing my loyalty towards the club I.love please just let our owner who knows more about financial decisions than any of us all.I.want.to do is support the boys the bluebirds yes we still called that we always will

Not digging mate, just looking at Cardiff City pictures on Flickr and stumbled across it. Was quite shocked when I saw it.

Flickr is a great website, with some amazing photography.

If you've got any hobbies / interests, do a search on there and you'll be amazed at some of the photography you can find.

Flickr is kind of like Facebook for photographers.

Don't know if this is genuine or not, but i put up a thread when this first came out that this was only the start. This is an Asian franchise and everything that they can get away with will be that way. The name Cardiff City will now stay IMO due to rules but if they can find a way around it, we will change there is no doubt about it.

It's well knows the dragon was supposed to be the main part of the badge so for designs to add "dragons" isn't anything crazy.
As someone said above its nothing like the badge we have so obviously they weren't impressed if this design was submitted.

To me it has everything of a fake.

After my initial shock, did a bit more googling and looked at the guys flikr stream. Think the guy is Welsh and a graphic designer/new media type - I don't this was a design that was ever on the table but when I first saw it I was shocked as it was all going off at the time and after seeing the "Brains Beermat Badge". However, I do think he was also trying to capitalise on the furore surrounding this fecking pointless rebrand (which created first class media coverage...hmmmmm) and hoping to up his profile "virally". If my suspicions are true, then this weeks forum "Cock Of The Week" award goes to him. If he's innocent then Alan Tate holds on to it (again). As he does Lee Trundle's cock.

I checked my business studies homework and it had no sign of "BrandBank" being affielated with VT.
