Keep Cardiff Blue

Sat Jun 23, 2012 12:24 am

The official group has now been established. Official site will launch shortly. Please give us a like and follow!

We are Cardiff City supporters from varying backgrounds, young and old, male and female, united by one cause. We have no desire to drive away our Malaysian investors, indeed we are grateful to them for their financial involvement in the Bluebirds and hope it continues, however we believe they have made an error of judgement in rebranding the club and sweeping away 100 years of history and tradition

I realise that this is a Cardiff City situation, and therefore, Swansea fans wouldn't help the cause because we would just be seen as causing mischief, but... You have a home game against Newcastle coming up. They are one of the most passionate groups of supporters I have ever known, and didn't take kindly to the re-naming of their stadium! Plus, from what I have read, you have several clubs supporters from across Europe publicising your case on this issue. Maybe making contact with these supporters groups might be an idea?

KEEP IT BLUE, but it's red isn't it, so how can we keep it Blue, it could possibly be turned back to blue, but isn't keep it blue misleading?

Hopefully removing this sweeping away of history nonsense ( our history is still there)

As I said on MM's board ( in a thread which now appears to have gone!) I'll grant you that some tradition has gone but a hug chunk went when Ninian Park went as well

And having a link to a website belonging (I believe) to one of the organisers of the new group in competition to the club when telling people to boycott the ckub for such merchandise does not look good does it.

I doubt there will be any confusion with people wearing keep us blue t shirts, waving keep us blue banners etc. whilst the team they are cheering, chanting and supporting are playing in red, all seems pretty clear to me.
