Whittingham won't be part of the first team plans if Malky keeps signing good central midfielders like Mutch.

The Mail are hinting he could well be

Why come out with a hands off if a main player is off a few days later.

Whitts wouldn't have a signed a new deal if he thought he might leave at the end of the season anyway as there was little realistic chance of getting promoted.

Some people just can't be happy for 1 min, hopefully the first of many hungry players that want to play for the red & blue army/blue & red army

Where does it say that im not happy, im just asking a question and have had some genuine answers, the daily mail seem to think it could be. I hope its not but was just questioning it as that position at this moment of time is not a necessary need for strengthening in my opinion, we need wingers and strikers as a priority.

If we did get £4m for Whitts and have got Mutch for anything near the £1m in the Daily Mail article then it would be the smartest piece of transfer business the club has done for a long time. In fact I can't remember the last time the club sold a star player and bought a replacement for a huge amount less who has the potential to be just as good and could one day be worth more than Whitts.

NO - Most people would find it hard to stalk Rhodes as his movement and pace ...One would find hard to keep up with ;)

Cant believe people are considering it. Would you actually go and sign Jordan Mutch to replace Whittingham? We would aim so higher if we had to replace him. Wow reading this made me laugh.

Im 99 per cent confident Whitts will stay, especially as his girlfriend supposedly wears the trousers  ,
we have a gem with Jordon Mutch and with him and Whitts in the middle and possibly Bellamy out wide, and yet a few more quality signings, were certainly going to be a force in this league this coming season. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

He will be McPhails replacement, Malky rates McPhail highly and we looked better with him in the team last year, but he is getting older and will miss games due to health, jordon is his replacement.....

Shirts is staying, we are going for it this tear I am sure, some good signings to come in, the right wingers and a decent striker and e have a good chance this season :ayatollah:

I agree with the previous statement, I also believe that Jordon is a long term replacement for McPhail.

When McPhail is in the team Whitts seemed to play better as he had more time work his magic, hopefully Murch can free Whitts up and vice versa.
