Although I had a good first 3 months in charge one time, then Marshall was out for the season and Heaton couldn't save a thing so I almost missed out on playoffs.

Yea i get you. ive been using the loan market tbh as thats all the malaysians will give me ive spent my 750k budget so scouting about for freebies. although ive had a major backroom staff clear out and downloaded some new formation/tactics offline to import so trying diffrent things out atm only had the game a week odd as my championship manager had run its course and bet taken a hammering over the years

Currently 5th in League 1 with Torquay in my second season. Not a lot of money to spend but if I can stay in the playoffs untill January I can push on (expectation was avoid relegation)

If you wnat to get rid of the Malaysians then you just ahve to convinvce them to buy the stadium.
Once that's doen there'll be a new £30 million debt in the club and TG with bugger off leaving Steve Borley in charge. He's even tighter but somehow has £60 million lying around to invest in the club every season.

Burnley seems to be a good club to manage.
They have no debt, 12million in cash lying around and they offered me £5.5 million in January to win the league.

I suppose I will still get FM13 as I can go a lower league team and work my way up which will be a different challenge and more rewarding than dominating with City every season.
On my current save I am playing a narrow 4-1-2-1-2 diamond system and I focus passing through the middle. I find when you play with width you're too open and concede too many goals. So my team is a back 4 all set to defend, a holding midfielder set as an anchor man, 2 centre midfielders, an attacking midfielder and two strikers, one set as an advanced forward and the other set as a poacher. I play short passing through the middle with a slowish tempo, I find with a faster tempo passes get rushed and I give possession away too cheaply.

I found out you can download the Football Manager Editor from Steam. It allows you to basically change anything, as well as kit colour and badge.
