This is from the programme from the first game I saw at Ninian (also Toshack's debut as a goal scoring sub) v Leyton Orient.
The Club, although encumbered with a large overdraft has recently acquired a piece of land for their own use, also to provide a much needed facility for the coaching of promising juveniles. This land will obviously have to be developed, and here is one instance where the Welsh FA could, we feel, provide the neccesary assistance.

Anybody know what happened with this?

believe it may have been where athletics stadium is now! as that was site of our new ground in the 70s but it never materialised until now :D

also old paper mill in ely was other site, along with one in st mellons area

Nothing new then . No money, still looking for our own training ground. I'll take the red, as much as I hate the thought.
